Hunger Games actress was s-xually assaulted at work

Jena Malone, the actress who played Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games franchise, has revealed that she was s**ually assaulted “by someone I had worked with” while filming the final movie in the series.

In an Instagram post, the 38-year-old said that she was dealing with a mix of emotions after wrapping the film, which coincided with a bad break-up and the assault.

She wrote: “I wish it wasn’t tied to such a traumatic event for me but that is the real wildness of life I guess.

How to hold the chaos with the beauty.”

Malone did not identify the person she accused of assaulting her.

Representatives for the actress and Lionsgate, the studio behind the films, have yet to comment on the allegation.

Willow Shields, who played Primrose Everdeen in the series, commented on Malone’s post, writing: “This post has me at a loss of words.

I understand and I hope that though the process is so slow you are okay Jena.”

Malone’s revelation came six months after she used Instagram to discuss her sexuality.

She wrote that she had been “finding words that feel more right to explore” her sexuality, before listing the terms “pansexuality,” “sapiosexuality,” and “polyamory.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she said she had been thinking about her sexuality “for a while” before making the post, and that it “felt so nice” to share it with her followers.

She added: “The s**ual journey is so beautiful.

I mean, all of the identity journeys are so cool.

I feel like I’m a little bit late to the game in being able to have less shame.

I’ve been loving the process of learning more about myself and others through different terms that open windows, those windows then turns into doors, and then I arrive at a place to find all this cool stuff out there.”

Malone concluded her Instagram post by sending “lots of love to you survivors out there,” acknowledging that the “[healing] process is so slow and non-linear.”

She offered to listen to anyone who needed a “safe space to be heard”, adding: “I’ve worked very hard to heal and learn thru restorative justice, how to make peace with the person who violated me and make peace with myself.”
