Halle Berry was ‘afraid’ of removing clothes on camera

Actress Halle Berry has revealed that she was initially afraid of appearing naked on screen.

She stated that she had always admired actors who were “daring enough to risk themselves that way for their art,” but that she herself was “always afraid of that.”

Berry said that she wanted to be able to be “free with my body in that way, and not fear exposing myself or appearing naked on camera.”

However, Berry decided to take on the role of Ginger Knowles in the 2001 film Swordfish, in which she appeared topless, in order to overcome her fear.

“That’s one of the reasons I did ‘Swordfish,'” she said.

“Although it was very gratuitous, I had to do it to get over my fear of exposing myself.”

Since then, Berry has become more confident and has taken on other roles that required n_dty.

Her performance in the 2001 film Monster’s Ball, which featured a graphic sex scene with her co-star Billy Bob Thornton, won her the Best Actress Oscar.

Reflecting on her experience with Swordfish, Berry explained, “Had I not done ‘Swordfish’ I never would have been able to tackle ‘Monster’s Ball.’

“I would have been too scared of the n_dty … scared of what people might say … scared of the backlash.”

Despite her newfound confidence, Berry has faced challenges in her most recent role.

She is currently filming scenes for the upcoming superhero film X-Men: Days of Future Past while pregnant.

Berry admits that her growing belly has been “posing a constant challenge” and that it has limited what she can do in the role.

“The role that I play is so different from what it could have been, due to my surprise pregnancy,” she said.

Berry is married to French actor Olivier Martinez and has a five-year-old daughter, Nahla, with her ex-partner Gabriel Aubry.

She has spoken in the past about how motherhood has changed her priorities in life, saying, “Being a mom is like the ultimate sacrifice for me. I just want to do it right.”
