Halle Berry defends her n-ked photo after backlash

Halle Berry is not letting negative comments get to her after she posted a picture on Saturday of herself drinking wine while n^ked on a balcony.

While most of the responses were positive, some critics on the internet had negative feedback.

But Berry was quick to shut them down in her own way.

One Twitter user, for example, wrote, “Imagine being in your 50s, still posting n/des for attention in menopause when you should be chilling with the grandkids. Aging with dignity is no longer a thing.”

Berry responded in a quote tweet, “Did you guys know the heart of a shrimp is located in its head?” By doing this, she sidestepped the interaction while simultaneously shading the original poster.

Audra McDonald, an actress, was among a pack of social media users who shared their support for Berry in the replies of her tweet.

She wrote, “You won the internet today with this clap back.”

Support for Berry was also plentiful in the comments of the original post, which Berry shared on Instagram.

“I do what I wanna do. Happy Saturday,” the actress wrote in the caption.

Berry is not new to sharing revealing pictures on social media.

She has posted several photos on Instagram showing off her fitness and physique.

In March, for example, she posted a photo of herself in a bikini, writing, “Back at the beach.”

Berry has also been known to share glimpses into her personal life on social media.

In May, she shared a photo of herself with her boyfriend Van Hunt, writing, “We do this thing called whatever the f*** we want!”

Berry has been open about her struggles with body image in the past.

She said in a 2021 interview with Women’s Health that she has been “working really hard to get back to my pre-baby body.” She also said that it’s been a challenge to maintain her fitness level as she’s gotten older.

Berry has two children: Nahla, 13, and Maceo, 7.

She shares Nahla with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry and Maceo with her ex-husband Olivier Martinez.

Despite the negativity, Berry’s fans and supporters continue to show their love for her.

One fan wrote in the comments of her Instagram post, “Halle Berry is aging like fine wine!”

Berry is set to star in the film “The Mothership,” which follows a woman who makes first contact with aliens.

She will also direct and star in “Bruised,” an MMA drama that premiered at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival.
