Gwyneth Paltrow wants to sell her business to the Kardashians

Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly trying to sell her shares in Goop, the wellness and lifestyle brand she founded in 2008.

Goop began as a weekly email newsletter that offered new age advice and has since expanded into a health content and e-commerce company.

However, the company has faced criticism for making baseless health claims and experiencing high employee turnover.

According to Insider, more than 140 workers have left Goop since the beginning of 2019, citing poor compensation, burnout, and tough leadership as some of their reasons for leaving.

The Consumer Protection Office of California has also filed a lawsuit against Goop for misleading advertising, alleging that the company has made baseless health claims concerning a number of items offered on its website.

Goop has agreed to resolve the matter out of court.

In addition to these challenges, a viral blind item on the celebrity gossip blog Crazy Days And Nights suggests that the Kardashians may be interested in acquiring a controlling share in Goop and merging it with their own brand, Poosh.

The blind item, which was initially posted two years ago, claimed that Paltrow had realized Goop was a scam and was urgently seeking to sell her shares.

“This foreign born former model turned reality star who has some celebrity offspring who are probably B+ list is teaming up with her long time snake oil selling friend and creating a line of products based on things the former model is growing on her own. This should turn out well,” the blind item reads.

While it is unclear whether the Kardashians are indeed interested in acquiring Goop, the blind item has reignited speculation about the future of the company.

Some have labelled Goop a flop, with many customers turned off by the store’s idea of offering magic medicine and vagina-scented candles.

Despite these challenges, Goop has continued to grow and expand in recent years.

The company has diversified its offerings to include a range of products, from fashion and beauty to home decor and wellness items.

Goop has also opened physical stores and expanded internationally, with a strong presence in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Gwyneth Paltrow has been the face of Goop since its inception and has been vocal about her belief in the company’s mission to promote wellness and self-care.

Paltrow has faced criticism for her involvement in Goop, with some accusing her of profiting off of pseudoscience and promoting questionable health advice.

Despite the criticism, Goop has maintained a loyal customer base and has even attracted a number of celebrity endorsements.

It remains to be seen whether Paltrow will be successful in selling her shares in the company and whether the Kardashians will indeed make a move to acquire Goop.
