Gospel Choir Brings Surprising Details to Light at Lilibet’s Christening, Unveiling Meghan’s Assertive Attitude

New revelations have emerged regarding the christening of Princess Lilibet, shedding light on a performance by a 10-person gospel choir.

Hollywood A-lister Tyler Perry reportedly flew the talented ensemble all the way from Atlanta to Montecito after the royal family declined to attend the event.

People magazine reported that the group arrived on a private jet and treated the intimate gathering of around 30 attendees, including Duchess Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, to renditions of “Oh Happy Days” and “This Little Light of Mine.”

While the spokesperson for the couple confirmed the christening, the identity of Lilibet’s godmother remains unknown.

“I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3rd by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Reverend John Taylor,” stated the spokesperson.

Surprisingly, despite receiving formal invitations, King Charles, the Queen Consort, and the Prince and Princess of Wales opted not to attend the event.

The gospel choir in question is none other than the Kingdom Choir, known for their performance at the Sussexes’ wedding.

However, their involvement in Lilibet’s baptism was limited to a brief appearance.

Choir leader Karen Gibson revealed that they were invited to wait for two hours, take some photos, and then depart.

The Kingdom Choir gained significant recognition after signing with Sony Music UK and performing at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in Sydney last October.

During the event, they had the opportunity to briefly chat with Prince Harry and Meghan once again.

In that same month, they released their debut album, “Stand By Me,” which featured the title track and 14 other songs, including an original composition called “Chases.”

Karen Gibson, MBE, wowed audiences when she sang “Stand By Me” with the Kingdom Choir at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding in 2018.

Interestingly, Meghan and Harry rejected 12 versions of “Stand By Me” proposed by a gospel choir for their wedding.

Gibson explained that it was challenging to obtain the couple’s approval, as they wanted the song stripped back and without a beat.

She stated, “Gospel is a very lively and vibrant style of music, so it took a while for us to understand what they actually meant.

We sent 12 versions of the song to them by email, but none were approved, so in the end, we had to go with what we thought was best.

We performed one version in front of them at Kensington Palace, and they said, ‘that’s it.'”

Contrary to earlier reports, it was Prince Charles who invited the Kingdom Choir to perform at Harry and Meghan’s wedding, not Meghan herself.

The choir clarified this on Twitter, saying, “We were asked by Prince Charles to perform at Harry and Meghan’s wedding, which we were honored to do.

After the wedding, Prince Charles let us know how pleased he was with our contribution to the day.”

In response to recent comments, the Queen released a carefully worded statement expressing her sadness but acknowledging that recollections may vary.

The statement implied that there might be disagreement regarding certain details surrounding the christening.
