Glastonbury fans moan festival was ‘awful this year’ as revellers miss Elton John’s emphatic finale

Glastonbury festival-goers have expressed their disappointment and frustration with this year’s event, with many leaving a day early and missing the final set from Elton John.

Attendees cited overcrowding, high temperatures, and underwhelming headliners such as the Arctic Monkeys, Lana Del Rey, and Guns N’ Roses as contributing factors to the lackluster experience.

With over 200,000 people attending the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset and tickets costing a minimum of £350, expectations were understandably high for an unforgettable weekend.

Disgruntled festival-goer Liam Rogan, 24, stated that “Glastonbury’s been awful this year…nothing has gone well, and none of the acts were show-stopping.”

Mollie Fox, 23, echoed these sentiments, stating that “the vibe was completely off this year.

It’s too hot, dusty, and over-packed – they need to stop over-selling tickets.”

Many attendees also expressed disappointment with the Arctic Monkeys, who played their lesser-known new material and performed all their hits at a slow pace, leading some to leave the concert early.

Other performers like Lana Del Rey and Guns N’ Roses also failed to impress audiences, with the former arriving 30 minutes late and being booed during her set.

The high temperatures, which remained in the high twenties throughout the weekend, also contributed to the mass exodus, with Zoe, 47, who came from South Shields, Tyne and Wear, saying that “all I’ve done is tried to find shade, and I haven’t enjoyed any of the acts which have been an anti-climax.”

Attendees, who spent hours queuing in traffic to reach the venue, were left disappointed by the festival’s poor organization and over-selling of tickets.

The music festival, known for its magical atmosphere, failed to deliver on its reputation, leaving many festival-goers feeling let down.

Despite the disappointment, some attendees chose to stay and make the most of their time at the festival.

However, many were so desperate to leave that they sacrificed watching Elton John’s highly anticipated final UK gig on the Pyramid Stage.

The hot weather, with temperatures remaining high throughout the weekend, was also a driving factor for festival-goers to escape the site.

Overall, this year’s Glastonbury festival failed to meet the expectations of many attendees, who left feeling disappointed and underwhelmed by the event.

With overcrowding, high temperatures, and lackluster performances from headliners, it’s clear that organizers will need to make significant changes if they hope to restore the festival’s reputation as a magical and unforgettable experience.
