Glass exploded in Jennifer Lawrence’s face & hit close to her eye on set
Jennifer Lawrence was struck near the eye by a flying glass while filming her new movie in Boston, according to celebrity website TMZ and the Boston Globe.
The incident occurred during a special effects shot, according to the Boston Globe, when a garbage can smashed through a glass, sending debris flying, some of which struck Jennifer.
Around 1:30 a.m. E.T., she was spotted holding her face before being hurried away.
“An explosion was set up for a stunt in which glass shatters,” the source continued. “It was a stunt in which the glass was supposed to shatter – but it injured her.”

Jennifer, who had recently married, received significant bruises to her face but luckily, the glass didn’t strike her in the eye. Despite this interruption, and despite Lawrence being rattled by the experience, she is well and will resume filming shortly.
Don’t Look Up, directed by Adam McKay (The Big Short), recounts the story of two amateur astronomers who go on a media tour to warn humanity of an impending comet that would destroy the planet.
Following the terrifying turn of events, the movie, which is presently being shot in Boston, was shut down for the day.
Lawrence co-stars with Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Kid Cudi, and Matthew Perry, among others.
Lawrence, 30, who won an Oscar for best actress for “Silver Linings Playbook” in 2013, has not starred in a film since 2019’s “X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” but has four new projects in the works, according to the movie website IMDB.com.
