Eva Longoria caught without underwear in split dress
Actress Eva Longoria became the latest celebrity to fall victim to an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
The star arrived at the screening of Jimmy P. Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian during the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday wearing a light green gown.
As she tried to ascend a flight of stairs, she lifted the hem of her dress to avoid getting it wet in the rain.
However, this revealed a lack of underwear, and the unfortunate incident was caught on camera.

Despite the embarrassing moment, the former Desperate Housewives star continued with the aid of several red carpet staff, being careful not to step on her trailing gown or allow her elaborately coiffed hairdo to falter in the rain.
Longoria had previously tweeted about the stormy weather, writing: “The calm before the storm…” and “Aaaand now the storm has begun! How many people are touching me at once??”
Before the screening, Longoria posed with fellow L’Oreal Paris Ambassadors Jane Fonda, Cheryl Cole, Megan Gale and Doutzen Kroes.
She later tweeted a picture of herself and Fonda leaving for the red carpet, and called the Cannes Film Festival her “favourite red carpet of the whole year!”
Longoria is not the first celebrity to experience a wardrobe malfunction.
Anne Hathaway suffered a similar fate at the New York premiere of Les Miserables in December, while Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton have also been caught in the spotlight without their underwear.
At the event, Longoria’s perfectly oval-shaped face was heavily made-up, particularly around the eyes, and the rain posed a threat to her mascara-covered lashes.
Despite the weather, she managed to shelter under a large umbrella.
Longoria’s embarrassing incident occurred the day after she attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Le Passe in a clingy pale green sequin dress.
She later tweeted: “My favourite red carpet of the whole year!”
The actress has not commented on the wardrobe malfunction on Twitter, instead posting about her experience at the festival.
Longoria is not the only celebrity to have experienced an embarrassing moment at Cannes.
In 2012, actress Kristen Stewart accidentally exposed her nipple while posing for photographers.
