Actress Chloe Cherry made her Euphoria debut in the first episode of Season 2, however she had previously appeared in a porn parody of the program.

“My friend and I, who’s also an adult movie star, we were just both huge fans of the show and we thought that that one scene [with Rue and Jules] was just so beautiful,” the Pennsylvania native explained.

“When you’re making a porn parody, the best way to make them is scenes like that, where they’re already insinuating that sex is about to happen,” Cherry added. “So that’s usually what people would want to see in terms of a porn parody. Fans really, really liked it. They thought it was awesome.”

Sam Levinson, the director, writer, and creator of Euphoria, originally came across Cherry on Instagram and thought she was amusing. She acknowledged to being a “huge fan of the show” before being called to audition, so seeing the actors in person was a “unreal” experience for her.

“Everybody’s so beautiful and so nice, and they all have amazing personalities, and they’re all so talented,” she continued. “It was just so much talent in one room, so much sense of humor and just great sense of fashion. Everyone’s really smart and very just, creative and talented. So it was super, super cool to see everyone in person, but it was even cooler that they’re such cool people, you know?”

Cherry claims she hasn’t seen any differences between acting in porn and acting in mainstream television.

When asked if she’d always hoped to go from sex films to large studio productions, she answered, “Before I was an actress of any kind, I, as a viewer, never really saw difference between different kinds of movies.”

“To me, it was all like, you’re all acting, you’re all beautiful people. So I guess as the viewer, I never really saw a difference in it, but I guess that was just me, maybe. I’m an actress, just through and through an actress,” she continued. “I’ve acted for a long time. And it’s a different experience, but I would just through and through call myself an actress.”

She’s not done with non-pornographic roles, though, and aspires to appear in more films and TV series in the future. “I just really, really hope that other directors see that in me and are inspired to put me as basically anything,” she stated.

Cherry stated she’s been accountable for improvising some of her most memorable “Euphoria” lines due to her years of on-camera expertise.

“A lot of those lines, like the line of, ‘You’re probably eating that ginger’s ass for oxys,’ that I improvised,” she explained. “Sometimes in the scenes [Levinson] would be like, ‘OK, just say whatever you want.’ Because he just wanted to see if I would say something funny. And that was one of them that he kept in there.”
