The greatest night of the year is here, and Birdman star Emma Stone has been left red-faced after accidentally showing her nude panties on the red carpet.

The 26-year-old actress was one of the best-dressed stars at the 2015 Academy Awards. However, when adjusting her Elie Saab gown, she had a wardrobe malfunction and revealed more than was necessary.

Emma had an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction when she used the outfit’s daring thigh-high split to lift the skirt of her gown up, giving a peek of her flesh-colored panties.

Stone didn’t seem to mind that the thigh-grazing slit was drawing the attention of the cameras and fans, and proceeded to stroll the carpet unaffected.

The actress looked lovely in a pale green gown dripping with beads and sequins.

She shared a lighthearted moment on the red carpet with her BFF Jennifer Aniston. Jennifer and Emma’s embrace was one of the most unforgettable moments of the 2015 Academy Awards.

She was nominated for Best Actress for her portrayal in ‘Birdman,’ but was heartbroken when she lost out to Julianne Moore, 54, of ‘Still Alice.’

Her film, however, won a slew of accolades, including Best Director and the night’s top prize, Best Picture.

Alejandro G. Iárritu, the film’s director, joked that he was wearing Michael Keaton’s underpants last night as a lucky charm!

During one of his acceptance speeches, he said, “Tonight, I am wearing the real Michael Keaton tighty-whities. They are tight, smell like balls, but it worked. I’m here. Thank you, Michael.”

Emma didn’t let the defeat get to her as she wore a frilly burgundy piece with a provocative plunging neckline to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in Hollywood.

She paired the dress, which showed off her great curves and long toned legs, with nude peep-toe heels and a natural make-up look with a rose lip for a pop of color.
