Emily Blunt has been a successful actress in Hollywood for many years, but her husband John Krasinski has never felt threatened by her on-screen romances.

In fact, Emily says that he’s “immune” to her kissing scenes with co-stars like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Emily has appeared in several films where she had intimate scenes with other actors, such as crawling n^ked over Tom Hanks in Charlie Wilson’s War and sharing a passionate kiss with Matt Damon in The Adjustment Bureau.

However, John has never been jealous of her work.

According to Emily, John is used to it.

“Honestly, John is so used to me having to make out with other men,” she says.

“He’s immune to it at this point.

That was part of the deal when we got married!”

Emily is now promoting her latest movie, Jungle Cruise, a Disney adventure comedy inspired by the Disneyland river ride.

She plays quirky scientist Dr Lily Houghton, who is on the hunt for a fabled magical Tree of Life.

Her brother McGregor is played by Brit comedian and actor Jack Whitehall.

In Jungle Cruise, Emily shares some steamy scenes with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The former wrestler and Emily hit it off from the get-go.

“It was there right from the start,” says Emily.

“There were certain scenes where we could not get a straight take.

Even the crew were like, ‘C’mon guys!’

It was such a joy to work with him.

He’s wonderful.”

Emily says that Dwayne acted more like an awkward teenager during one kissing scene.

“We laughed through that too,” she says.

“It was so funny.

Dwayne was ruining takes just to try and make me laugh with his terrible jokes.

But that is what you want from the skipper, you want bad jokes.”

Dwayne even invited Emily to his Miami home and gave her a tour of one of his home gyms, an out-house called Iron Paradise.

Emily felt very privileged and says that, even though it smelled very manly, it was actually very clean.

Emily and John have been married for over a decade and have two daughters – Hazel, seven, and Violet, five.

They first locked eyes on each other in a Los Angeles restaurant in 2008.

John, then known for his role in the US version of TV sitcom The Office, was dining with actor Justin Theroux, while Emily was with a friend.

Two years later, they got married on George Clooney’s estate at Lake Como, Italy.

Their marriage has been successful both personally and professionally, as they starred together for the first time in the horror film A Quiet Place, which John wrote, directed, and starred in.

Emily won the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role for her part in the movie.

Emily believes that the secret of their partnership is “just love” and listening to each other.

Their humour and chemistry have helped cement them as one of Hollywood’s most adored couples, and they even have a celebrity couple’s tag – the Krunts, a mash-up of their surnames.

Emily is currently working on a new six-part Western drama in Spain called The English.

She started her journey in the business by appearing in school plays when she was 12 and went straight into West End theatre instead of going to college to study languages.

She overcame a childhood stutter and appeared opposite Dame Judi Dench in Sir Peter Hall’s production of The Royal Family at the Haymarket Theatre.

Despite being in 40 movies, Emily still disassociates with her success, as she says, “My journey in the business has never been anything meteoric.

It’s been this slow and steady unveiling of what it has become now.

I still disassociate with it because things like this are so big that it’s hard for me to wrap my head around it all.”
