Elvis Presley visited Priscilla’s house at night after divorce

Priscilla Presley, the ex-wife of Elvis Presley, shared details of her relationship with the King of Rock and Roll during her UK tour titled “An Evening with Priscilla Presley.”

Priscilla recounted the time Elvis visited her after they had split up, explaining how he wanted to talk to her about things he wouldn’t tell anyone else in his life.

They met in Germany in the late 1950s while he was in the US Army, and Priscilla was just 14 years old.

Their relationship blossomed, and she eventually moved to Graceland.

On May 1, 1967, Elvis and Priscilla got married, and their only child, Lisa Marie Presley, was born exactly nine months later, on February 1, 1968. However, on October 9, 1973, the couple got divorced.

Despite this, they still “cared for each other,” as Priscilla revealed during her live show.

“He would come to the house in the middle of the night even when he was dating other women. And I still went to Graceland,” she said.

Although Elvis was dating his long-term girlfriend, Linda Thompson, at the time, he would bring books and read them to Priscilla at two in the morning while Lisa was sleeping.

Priscilla admitted feeling nervous during these times because she was dating someone else. She said, “I started to get nervous because he was dating Linda at the time.”

Priscilla reminisced about their relationship, saying, “I look back now, and I think that was a special time that we had together that no one really knew about, that I never really talked about.”

She pointed out that Elvis would visit her in the dead of night to talk about things “he really didn’t want to talk about with the guys,” meaning his close friends in the Memphis Mafia.

“We had more fun and did so much with our lives in closeness and in laughter than any of the other women,” she pointed out. Priscilla continued to praise Elvis, who passed away in Graceland on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42 due to a cardiac arrest.

“I’m so fortunate having that life with him and time with him,” Priscilla said. “I cherish every moment. I still love Elvis very much.”

Priscilla’s daughter with Elvis, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away earlier this year on January 12, 2023, at the age of 54.
