Eddie Murphy ‘not interested’ in seeing his teenage daughter
According to reports from the Los Angeles court, Hollywood star Eddie Murphy has no interest in seeing his 10-year-old daughter Angel, whom he shares with America’s Got Talent star Mel B.
This information came to light on Wednesday as Mel’s ex-husband Stephen Belafonte appeared in court requesting step-parent visitation with the child.
Belafonte, who helped raise Angel during his 10-year marriage to Mel, claims that Angel “has called me dad since she started to talk” but Mel is vehemently opposing his efforts, refusing to let him see her daughter.
Belafonte’s lawyer, Grace Jamra, stated that she has been trying to reach Murphy to discuss Belafonte’s step-parent request but has been unsuccessful.
Murphy’s lawyers have reportedly told Jamra that the actor is not interested in having any contact with the child.

Jamra also revealed that she had attempted to serve Murphy with legal papers, but Murphy is avoiding service.
Mel and Belafonte had a bitter divorce battle that ended in December 2017. As part of the divorce settlement, they were to split the proceeds of their former marital home in LA, which is worth an estimated $6-7 million.
Belafonte has complained to the court that Mel has been dragging her feet in paying her share of the $20,000 needed to repair the home and get it in shape to sell.
Belafonte showed up in court wearing a dark suit on Wednesday.
Judge Mark Juhas ordered Mel to pay $10,000 to match the $10,000 Belafonte has already shelled out toward the house repairs.
The couple had two children together, six-year-old Madison and Angel. Belafonte was given joint-custody of Madison, and he went back to court to try to win step-parent rights to visit Angel.
Mel has consistently blocked his efforts to spend time with Angel, calling him a “bad man” and accusing him of being violent and abusive during their marriage.
Last week, Mel charged in a new court filing that Belafonte made her daughters, including Madison, watch videos of ISIS beheadings.
Belafonte filed his own court response, strongly denying Mel’s accusation and calling it “outlandish and alarming.”
He said, “I have never and would never show ISIS videos to our children.”
Belafonte claims that Mel has been violating his joint-custody of Madison and that she refuses to let him see Angel.
Belafonte says that he gave his daughter Madison a teddy bear and other toys to give to Angel, but Mel threw out the toys before they could even get to Angel.
During their marriage, intimate details were revealed about the couple’s sex life, including three-ways with the couple’s nanny, Lorraine Gilles, who Mel accused of being a “home wrecker” and “prostitute” who had an affair with Belafonte and conspired with him against her by threatening to release embarrassing *ex videos.
Mel filed for divorce in March 2017, citing irreconcilable differences, and took out a domestic violence restraining order against Belafonte, accusing him of years of abuse against her, embezzling $10 million of her money, and keeping her drugged during much of their marriage.
She also took out a civil harassment restraining order against Gilles. The former couple came to a private settlement before the case went to trial in November 2017, and the divorce became final on December 15, 2017.
Mel agreed to pay Belafonte $15,000 a month in spousal support until December 2020.
