Dwayne Johnson mocks Vin Diesel for his ridiculous comments

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has responded to his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel’s recent comments about giving him “tough love” to improve his performance in the franchise.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Johnson laughed off Diesel’s claims and said that “everyone had a laugh at that.”

The tension between Johnson and Diesel has been well-documented, with reports of a feud between the two actors first emerging in 2016.

At the time, Johnson took to social media to slam some of his male co-stars for being “chicken sh*t” and “unprofessional.”

Although he didn’t mention any names, many fans speculated that he was referring to Diesel.

In his recent comments, Diesel claimed that as a producer on the Fast & Furious franchise, he had a particular vision for Johnson’s character and wanted him to be taken seriously.

He said that his approach was to give Johnson “tough love” to help him get the performance he needed.

“It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character,” Diesel said.

“My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be. As a producer to say, ‘okay, we’re going to take Dwayne Johnson, who’s associated with wrestling, and we’re going to force this cinematic world, audience members, to regard his character as someone that they don’t know’ — Hobbs hits you like a ton of bricks. That took a lot of work. We had to get there and sometimes, at that time, I could give a lot of tough love.”

Johnson, however, was not impressed with Diesel’s comments and laughed them off in his interview with the Hollywood Reporter. “I laughed and I laughed hard,” Johnson said.

“I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I’ve wished them well. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.”

Johnson’s Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt also couldn’t resist mocking Diesel’s claims, saying: “Just thank God he was there. Thank God. He carried you through that.”

Johnson quipped: “Felliniesque.”
