Actor Donald Sutherland has finally addressed rumors surrounding the infamous s^x scene in the 1973 film Don’t Look Now, co-starring Julie Christie.

While attending the New York premiere of his new film, The Leisure Seeker, Sutherland spoke to reporters about the scene, which many have wondered was real for decades.

A former movie executive, Peter Bart, claimed in his book Infamous Players that Sutherland and Christie did have s^x while filming the scene.

However, Sutherland immediately denied Bart’s claim, stating, “None of it. Not the s^x. Not him witnessing it.”

Producer Peter Katz addressed Bart’s allegation, saying, “While there was a s^x scene captured on film, it was not a scene that would lead to the creation of a human being.”

Katz did note, however, that the US and Canadian versions of the film did include several cuts to the s^x scene, making them different from the European releases, as changes were made to avoid an X-rating.

Don’t Look Now is an erotic thriller that tells the story of a married couple, played by Sutherland and Christie, who travel to Venice following the death of their young daughter.
