‘Director asked to see my panties’ – Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra, a popular Bollywood actress who has also gained global recognition, recently shared a disturbing experience from her early days in the film industry.

In her memoir Unfinished, she revealed that a director, whose name she did not disclose, had asked her to flash her panties during a sensuous song sequence.

According to Chopra, the director insisted on having an erotic song in order to attract viewers and suggested that the attraction should be based on her panties.

She wrote, “The director suggested I speak to my stylist, so I called him and briefly explained the situation, then passed the phone to the director.

Standing right in front of me, the director said: ‘Jo bhi ho, chaddiyan dikhni chahiyen. Nahi toh log picture kyon dekhne aayenge?’” (Translation: “Whatever happens, panties should be visible. Otherwise, why would people come to watch the movie?”)

Chopra immediately quit the film after the incident, but she regrets not speaking up to the director right then and there.

She also shared the incident on Oprah Winfrey’s show Super Soul, stating that the director was sitting in an entitled manner and kept using the word “panties” multiple times.

She added, “He said the word four times and it is not even pretty in Hindi. It is worse.”

Chopra’s memoir also reveals that she faced s**ist remarks from another director who was unimpressed with her body despite being Miss World.

The director asked her to get certain parts “fixed.” Chopra’s experiences highlight the struggles and challenges that women face in the film industry.

Despite the unpleasant memories, Chopra has successfully navigated her way through the film industry and has become an inspiration to many aspiring actresses.

She is known for balancing her career and family, and has made it a priority to give equal attention to both.

She has also been associated with numerous campaigns and owns several brands, making her a global icon.

Chopra’s success has not come without struggles, however.

In her memoir, she writes about facing racism and bullying while growing up in the United States, and how she learned to deal with it.

She also writes about how she was initially rejected for a role in a film because of her skin color, but went on to win the Miss World title and prove her critics wrong.
