Denzel Washington take co-stars out before s-x scenes

During a radio interview on Thursday morning, Denzel Washington spoke to Nova FM’s breakfast duo, Fitzy and Wippa, about how he prepares for film roles and s^x scenes.

He admitted that he likes to get to know the actress before she strips off.

He gave an example of when he filmed the movie Flight, the first scene they shot was with Nadine Velazquez, and she was supposed to be naked.

Washington suggested that they go out and have breakfast together, “let’s at least have a turkey sandwich!” he said.

This made the radio hosts stunned with his honesty.

They went on to talk about the “oldest” apology actors can give actresses before a steamy love scene.

Denzel rattled off with a laugh, “Don’t get upset if I get excited and don’t get upset if I don’t.”

The interviewers asked Denzel to bust some Hollywood myths and give advice to people wanting to become actors.

The 59-year-old, who spent a few months earlier this year treading the boards on Broadway in ‘A Raisin in the Sun,’ said his top tip for wannabe actors was to get into theatre.

“I tell all actors to get on stage – you really learn how to act on stage. That’s where you learn to act. You gotta know your lines, you can’t say cut in the middle of a play, you cannot go back and re-do it,” he said passionately.

Denzel also spoke fondly of a visit to Australia and working with home-grown Russell Crowe on the film American Gangster.

Unlike many of Rusty’s Hollywood colleagues, he was not asked to sport a Sydney Rabbitohs cap, and he said the Aussie actor gave his son a signed shirt from Jonah Lomu, the New Zealand Rugby Union Player who his son is a big fan of.

Denzel even revealed how he was behind a fan-led campaign to have him star as the next James Bond.

“I did an ‘ask me anything’ on Reddit, and someone asked me online… so I replied and I was kinda joking, ‘So the question was “Would you want to play James Bond?” and I was like “Yeah sure.

In fact let’s get a campaign going”. Well, two weeks later, they took it seriously! So yeah, I was just answering the question,” he admitted.

The American even put on his best British accent to deliver the iconic line “Bond. James Bond,” as Fitzy and Wippa gave him an audition on-air for the role.

Denzel also talked about his love for the All Blacks, recounting meeting them after a Good Morning America interview during the publicity rounds for his film The Book of Eli in 2010.

“We did that whole, whatever you call it, with the yelling and the screaming. You mean The Hakka,” Fitzy and Wippa said, helping him out.

The American actor was taught the traditional ritual by the team and got along so well with the boys; he ended up spending a night out on the town with them.

“We went out with those people [from the studio], and then I met some of the [All Blacks] bodyguards at the restaurant we were at, and I was like, ‘Man, I wanna go out with you guys.

I wanna go where you guys go, I’m not sitting here with these stiffs.’

So they took me around – I don’t even remember where we went – we ended up five in the morning somewhere, but it was like the real people, and I was like, ‘this is what I’m talking about!’ Just genuine, good people,” he said fondly.

“We’re one of those guys, we like to have a beer as well.

We’ll stand up to you with a Fosters and say if you wanna have a go, have a go, and we can go out to five in the morning,” the boys offered.

Despite struggling to say radio host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli’s nickname correctly, Denzel joked, “I’m gonna go out with Fitzy and Wippa.

Oh boy, sounds like trouble!” The breakfast radio duo were in fits of giggles across the interview, leaving Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald to declare, “This has been my greatest interview of all time!”

The trio ended their chat by enthusiastically firming up plans to drink beer, party until 5 am, do the Hakka, and play James Bond together when Denzel is next in town.

Denzel Washington is widely known for his good-guy image in Hollywood, and his interview with Nova FM further strengthened this perception.

The actor spoke candidly and humorously about his personal and professional experiences during the interview, leaving the hosts and listeners impressed.

Washington’s approach to s^x scenes, getting to know his co-stars before stripping off, is a unique and practical approach.

He understands that actors and actresses may feel uncomfortable during such scenes and strives to create a comfortable working environment for them.

In addition to his practical advice, Washington also shared his top tip for aspiring actors, encouraging them to get involved in theater.

He spoke passionately about his love for the stage and emphasized that it is the best way to learn the craft of acting.

Washington also revealed his connection to Australia, particularly his experience working with Russell Crowe on the film American Gangster.

He also expressed his admiration for the All Blacks, the national rugby team of New Zealand, and his fondness for the traditional Hakka ritual.

Washington’s comments about wanting to play James Bond sparked a fan-led campaign that took his jesting response seriously.

Despite not landing the role, Washington’s British accent during the radio interview demonstrated his versatility as an actor.

Throughout the interview, Washington’s personality shone through, displaying his humor and down-to-earth demeanor.

His eagerness to party with Fitzy and Wippa and his willingness to try new things endeared him to the hosts and listeners alike.

Overall, Denzel Washington’s interview with Nova FM was a delightful and entertaining conversation that showcased his wit, charm, and talent.
