Chris Hemsworth & Chris Evans Not Allowed To Promote ‘Avengers’ together

Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans were not permitted to conduct “Avengers” press together, according to the former.

And the rationale is insanely plausible! By now, we’ve all realized that the two handsome Chris’ possess an unbreakable bond that extends beyond their on-screen roles, Thor and Captain America. As a result, the producers decided not to pair them up for interviews and promotional events since they would be too busy joking about instead of working.

The Australian actor who portrays Thor has a “real bromance” with the ‘Captain America’ star, and they’re not allowed to give interviews together to promote ‘Avengers: Endgame’ because they act like “kids in school” and can’t focus on what they should be doing.

Hemsworth stated, “With Chris Evans, I have a real brotherly bond.

“I think they wouldn’t pair us up on this press tour, because we just spend the whole time screwing around and none of it is on topic.”

When Variety asked Evans whether this was true, he said yes and added: “Which is such bulls**t!

“We had too much fun together, and truly like kids in school, we were separated because we weren’t getting s— done.”  Evans also said that he had a concept for a film in which the two of them may appear. “I would love to do one of those ’80s buddy comedies, where we could shed the characters we are known for,” he added.

This isn’t the first time the celebrities have spoken openly about their bond.

During one of his media appearances, Hemsworth told People about the first time he met Evans about a decade ago and how the two of them ended up staying out till 7 a.m.!

“We were just talking about this. I think it was in a club in New York. Seriously. I think I went out and you’d just done your movie [Captain America: The First Avenger]. I was training for Thor and someone introduced us. We got home about 7 the next morning.” Evans stated, “That sounds about right. I’d be hard-pressed to remember the details.”

“We were like, ‘Cool, working together will be easy then,” he continued.

“That’s the way it’s been across the Marvel landscape,” Evans remarked. “It’s always felt like [an] old hat with the cast.”

In 2015, Evans told Esquire that Hemsworth is “like a brother”

“We’ve had a very similar trajectory in, at least, being welcomed into this [Marvel] world,” Evans added, “We both took these roles. We were both timid and nervous and didn’t know how it was gonna play out. It’s been nice to kind of share this with him. We each have the standalone films as well, which can be a whole separate element of pressure and anxiety, and he’s just been so helpful to me. Just to have someone else who’s going through the same struggles I am.”
