Chris Brown under investigation for hitting woman, police say

Chris Brown, a popular R&B musician in the United States, is allegedly being investigated for battery.

Authorities said Brown was suspected of striking a lady after an altercation in a Los Angeles residence on Friday.

According to TMZ, the 32-year-old US artist “smacked the back of her head so hard her weave came off.”

According to law enforcement officials, police rushed to Brown’s house in the region after the lady claimed she was beaten by the singer.

According to reports, police took a battery report and listed Chris as the suspect.

Despite the fact that no arrests were made, Brown might face a misdemeanor charge. At the time of writing, he had not to responded to the allegations (June 22).

The Forever singer’s recent Instagram story read: ‘Y’all so damn [cap emoji]’ – cap meaning ‘lying’ or ‘faking’ – followed by laughing emojis.

“We have not been referred a case yet in this matter,” the City Attorney’s Office stated on Tuesday.

It comes after the Los Angeles Police Department was summoned to Brown’s house last month in response to several complaints about a noisy late-night birthday celebration being hosted there.

Officers responded to several reports regarding loud music and automobiles in the area and met with Brown’s security about 2 a.m.

After the music was turned down, 400 to 500 visitors departed the home, and parking tickets were issued to automobiles that were unlawfully parked.

Angles, his new track with Wale, has also been getting a lot of attention.

Brown has faced a number of allegations in recent years, including one for aggravated rape by a French woman in January of 2019. He was detained in Paris and launched a defamation action against his accuser few days later. He was freed without charge pending the outcome of the inquiry.

Brown, 32, has had a string of legal issues dating back to 2009, when he was arrested for physically abusing his girlfriend at the time, singer Rihanna. In 2015, he completed his probation after pleading guilty to criminal assault.

Years later, in 2017, he was accused by numerous domestic violence groups of “blaming” Rihanna for his assault on her.

In an interview, Katie Ghose, CEO of Women’s Aid, called Brown’s statements “victim-blaming,” adding that “abuse or violence of any kind is never the victim’s fault.”

“Despite pleading guilty to felony assault and accepting a plea deal, in this documentary Chris Brown is victim-blaming Rihanna for the horrific physical assault he perpetrated against her back in 2009,” Ghose said.

In 2018, an anonymous woman, also known as Jane Doe, sued Brown, saying that she was raped numerous times by a guy called Lowell Grissom Jr. while attending a party at the singer’s house in February 2017.

Brown was allegedly involved in an altercation at a Tampa nightclub in 2017 in which he was accused of hitting the club’s photographer, who was apparently taking photos of him despite being warned not to.

Brown’s felony assault charges were dismissed one year after he was arrested.

In 2017, Brown’s ex-girlfriend, model and actress Karrueche Tran, was given a five-year restraining order against him.
