Chloë Grace Moretz brands Kim Kardashian ‘sad’ over “slut-shaming” her
Chloe Grace Moretz has spoken out about her controversial reaction to Kim Kardashian West’s 2016 naked selfie.
“I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies,” Moretz said at the time.
In the war of words that ensued, the actress, 20, lambasted the 36-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star for spreading ‘woman-on-woman’ hatred.
“It’s sad for her to reach out to a young woman like that,” she remarked, referring to Kim’s reaction to her post. “There’s a lot of woman-on-woman hate.”
Moretz’s reply to a now-famous nude selfie Kardashian, 36, posted on her social media platforms sparked the entire conflict.

Kardashian subsequently responded with a caustic retort, which included a jab at Moretz’s revealing Nylon cover: “Let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. Your nylon cover is cute boo.”
Things became ugly when Khloe got involved, posting two photographs, one of Chloe in a red bikini on set and the other of a lady (whom Chlo later explained wasn’t her) whose bathing suit was accidently pushed to the side, revealing her private parts.
The actress defended her comments when fans accused her of “slut-shaming” Kardashian.
“There’s a huge difference in respecting the platform that you’re given as a celebrity and ‘slut shaming’ something I never have done and would never do,” she said on Twitter.
According to Variety, Chlo has not engaged with Kim since the incident.
