Camilla Gets Her Revenge: Dior Denies Reports of Meghan Markle as Brand Ambassador
The world of fashion and royalty collided when news broke that Meghan Markle was allegedly in talks to become a Dior ambassador.
However, it seems that the reports were nothing more than rumors.
On Tuesday, June 20th, Women’s Wear Daily published an exclusive story stating that there was no truth to the reports that Markle was about to sign a multi-million dollar deal with the French design house.
The same day, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, made a rare public appearance in a Dior ensemble.
The outfit consisted of a custom cream double-button coat and matching dress, which she wore to attend the 2023 Royal Ascot with her husband, King Charles.

It’s worth noting that Camilla seldom wears Dior outfits, as the brand had a much closer association with Charles’ first wife, the late Princess Diana.
The reports of Markle’s alleged deal with Dior came after Spotify cut ties with her and Prince Harry for failing to meet productivity benchmarks in their $20 million deal, which saw only 13 podcast episodes produced in nearly three years.
However, Dior denied that they had any contract negotiations or recent contact with Markle.
While Markle has worn Dior on numerous occasions, both before and after becoming a working member of the British royal family, a Parisian spokesperson for the brand confirmed that reports of the apparent contract were not real and denied that the brand had recently contacted her.
Representatives for Markle and Harry, as well as Buckingham Palace, have not responded to Life & Style’s request for comment.
This news comes after several British publications, including the Daily Mail, published articles referring to Markle as the “Duchess of Dior.”
It’s worth noting that Markle previously established a relationship with Dior.
She wore a hat by Stephen Jones from the brand for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022, as well as a matching white Dior skirt, coat, and hat in June 2022 for the late royal’s Platinum Jubilee.
In February 2019, Markle wore a draped Dior dress while pregnant with her son Archie.
Despite the rumors of her potential deal with Dior, it seems that Markle won’t be joining the brand as an ambassador anytime soon.
Camilla, on the other hand, looked resplendent in her Dior ensemble, seemingly enjoying her rare opportunity to wear the brand.
In conclusion, while the reports of Markle’s alleged deal with Dior may have been exciting for fans of both fashion and the royal family, it seems that they were nothing more than rumors.
Dior denied any contract negotiations or recent contact with Markle, and representatives for the couple and Buckingham Palace have not commented on the matter.
Camilla, however, seemed to enjoy her chance to shine in a Dior outfit, perhaps getting her revenge on Markle in the process.
