Brooke Shields forced to kiss 27-year-old man at 11

Actress Brooke Shields recently opened up about the traumatic experience she faced while filming her breakthrough role in the 1978 movie “Pretty Baby.”

The now 57-year-old actress was only 11 years old when she was cast as a child prostitute in the film, where she was made to give a seductive kiss to her co-star, Keith Carradine, who was 27 years old at the time.

In an upcoming documentary titled “Pretty Baby,” Shields breaks down in tears while discussing the incident with her daughters, Rowan, 19, and Grier, 16.

Shields admitted that the thought of the experience still bothers her as an adult.

She said that she wouldn’t have allowed her own daughters to go through the same thing.

The actress revealed that she had to kiss Carradine on the lips in one of the film’s scenes.

She also recalled that her mother, Teri Shields, who was present on set, offered no help to her daughter.

It was left to Carradine to try and reassure her that the kiss was “all make-believe.”

Shields claims that director Louis Malle snapped at her when she made a repulsed face during the scene.

In the documentary, Shields is seen sitting at her dining table with her two daughters, discussing the controversial film.

Rowan, who has never watched the movie, expresses her opinion on the film, calling it “child pornography.”

She then asks her mother if she would have allowed her and her sister to participate in a similar scene at the age of 11. Shields instinctively replies, “No,” and her shoulders collapse.

Shields also mentioned in a recent interview that discussing the decision to make the film with her daughters was a challenging experience.

Shields said she found it challenging to speak to her daughters about the film, adding that it was “difficult to explain” why she made that decision.

The actress explained that she was “thrown” into the world of Hollywood at a young age. She had already modeled for several years before she was cast in “Pretty Baby,” which gave her the role of a child prostitute.

Shields stated that she had a “limited” understanding of the scene at the time, and did not realize that it would become such a controversial topic.

Shields also admitted that she was never given the opportunity to discuss or agree to the scenes beforehand.

She said that “no one explained anything” to her, and that the cast and crew just assumed that she understood what was going on.

Despite the difficult experience, Shields said that she is proud of her work in the film, and that it gave her a platform to address issues such as child sexual abuse.

She has also been a vocal advocate for victims of child abuse and is a board member of the Child Mind Institute, a non-profit organization that helps children with mental health and learning disorders.

Shields added that the movie industry has since made significant progress in protecting child actors.

She said that now, parents and guardians are given detailed information about the scenes and are allowed to monitor their child’s participation.

However, she believes that there is still much to be done to improve the industry’s practices.

The actress hopes that her story will serve as a lesson to both parents and filmmakers.

She believes that parents should be more vigilant in protecting their children from the exploitation that can occur in the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, filmmakers should prioritize the welfare of child actors and ensure that they are not subjected to any traumatic experiences on set.

Shields’ story is not the first to shed light on the dark side of Hollywood. Many other child actors have come forward with similar experiences of abuse and exploitation in the industry.

However, Shields’ bravery in speaking out serves as a reminder that more needs to be done to protect the vulnerable and impressionable children who work in the entertainment industry.

Shields hopes that her experience will prompt a broader conversation on how the industry can do better in protecting young actors.

In recent years, the entertainment industry has taken several steps to improve the safety of child actors.

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) has implemented strict guidelines for working with minors, including limiting the number of hours that child actors can work and requiring on-set teachers and guardians to be present.

These regulations have been a significant step forward in preventing exploitation and ensuring the safety of young actors.
