Actress Brooke Shields has spoken out against her late friend Michael Jackson’s false claims that they were secretly in a relationship.

The pair met when Shields was 13 years old and became close friends, often attending glitzy Hollywood parties and premieres together throughout the 80s and 90s.

However, in a 1993 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Jackson claimed that he was dating the Law & Order star while she was in a romance with Dean Cain.

Shields, who is now 57, recently revealed that she contacted Jackson to express her disappointment in his actions, calling him “pathetic” and telling him that she wanted to lead a normal life and not be dragged into “crazy town”.

Shields also denied any romantic involvement with Jackson, stating that he had tried to kiss her once while they were in a car with cameras present, but she had refused and told him that they were just friends.

She went on to say that while other actresses had been interested in Jackson, she had never considered him in that way.

Jackson, who died in 2009, faced multiple allegations of child s**ual abuse during his lifetime, and was acquitted of charges including child s**ual abuse in 2005.

Speaking about the accusations, Shields stated that she found it difficult to believe and wished she knew the truth so that she could understand how to make sense of it all.

The actress will soon be fronting a new documentary titled Pretty Baby, which will detail her life experiences, including posing n^de for Playboy at the age of 10 and playing a prostitute in a film at the age of 11.

She will also address her controversial mother, Teri Shields, and her decision to allow her daughter to participate in what many would consider “pornography”.

Shields expressed confusion over her mother’s decision, saying that she did not know why she thought it was acceptable.
