Brendan Fraser is back in the movie industry, and his recent portrayal of the 600-pound reclusive English teacher in the film The Whale has left both fans and critics in complete awe.

However, during a recent interview with Drew Barrymore, the actor was asked about his experience shooting the family comedy George of the Jungle.

The actor confessed that he wasn’t comfortable in George’s attire for the whole span of shooting.

Fraser jokingly shared with Barrymore that he was uncomfortable with the loin cloth for the whole span of filming.

He further expressed, “I never really did, to be honest. I was kinda n/ked.”

“I was spray-painted like I was in the autobody every morning.”

Despite facing some minor inconveniences because of the body spray and clothing, Fraser loved working on the movie.

He explained that he was a fan of the source material and that the concept of the book fascinated him.

He discussed the book from which the movie was adapted and designated the book as the Simpsons of the 60s and 70s.

Fraser stated, “look, it was a broad comedy, great fun to do, based on a J ward property that was George of the Jungle.”

“In the 70s and the 60s, it was kinda like the Simpsons of its time, you know a broad comedy like this to make sense that a guy that lives in a jungle that lives in a jungle and has a dog that an elephant is entertainment.”

The actor was able to attain a majestic look for the role, which even left his fellow co-stars feeling inferior.

In a recent Variety actor-on-actor interview, Adam Sandler humorously mocked Brendan Fraser for making him feel bad about himself through his majestic physique.

Fraser’s return to the industry has been termed the comeback of the century, and with The Whale garnering abundant praise and love from fans, he has undoubtedly become one of the favorites to win the 2023’s Oscar race.
