Billie Eilish Forgot Lyrics To Her Own Song At Coachella, Video shows

Have you ever been up all night studying for a big test, only to have your memory go blank when it came time to answer the first question? Billie Eilish experienced something similar when performing one of her songs at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California on Saturday. Of course, she handled the situation brilliantly and stayed cool.

Eilish has had a busy month.  Her latest album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, landed at number one on the Billboard 200 list after its March 29th release, according to Billboard. The 17-year-old also performed at Coachella for the first time on April 13th. Eilish begins singing “all the good girls go to hell” on video footage taken by audience members, but it immediately becomes apparent that something is wrong. “F*ck! What the f*ck are the words, though?” she says as she begins to sing “da da da” to the melody of the song. Fans clapped and cheered her on, helping in getting through the ordeal.

Several Twitter users posted a video of the funny incident following Billie’s incredible performance on Saturday at the outdoor theater stage, which also included Cardi B, DJ Snake, and Selena Gomez.

Justin Bieber even gave his blessing to the act.

Bieber replied on Twitter, “Proud of you @billieilish.”

On social media, many were quick to express their support for her. “billie forgetting the lyrics is a whole ass mood,” one Twitter user wrote. “only billie could forget the lyrics to her song and still pull it off,” another commented. The event “made me fall 10x more in love with her and I didn’t even think that was possible,” one fan commented on Twitter.

“SIS REALLY FORGOT HER OWN LYRICS TO “all the good girls go to hell” AND SAYS “what the f**k are the words even. BUT THE CROWD SANG IT FOR HER SO ITS ALL G @billieeilish,” one user wrote.

Others, on the other hand, were less forgiving.

‘I love billie and all but this s**t is do unprofessional and not cute,’ one user said on a video of the incident uploaded by Twitter user @BADHOPELESS.

‘She literally is playing Coachella. You’d think if you were given such a platform to perform a song that you aren’t even playing any instruments for, you could at least remember the lyrics,’ another Twitter user added.

‘Or like… remember them from writing the song and tracking them in the studio,’ they added.

Billie loves music because she can perform it. She told Teen Vogue in June 2018 that she thrives onstage, and her electrifying stage presence is one of the qualities we like the most about her. “I feel like the reason I always get so excited and happy whenever I get the crowd to literally be jumping — like, their heads are all the same height every time they jump, so basically it means they’re all jumping,” she remarked at the time. “I’m a girl on a stage and I’m getting a bunch of people in a crowd to jump and have fun, and that’s so rare to me.”

Her performance at the annual music festival in Indio, California, came on the same day as Ariana Grande, who became the event’s fourth female headliner.
