Armie Hammer Accused of Rape and Assault, under investigation

On Thursday, a young lady accused American actor Armie Hammer of raping her four years ago in Los Angeles, and police confirmed they were looking into it.

“I thought he was going to kill me,” Effie, the lady, said through tears during a news conference with her attorney, Gloria Allred, on Thursday. Effie accuses Hammer of brutal rape and physical abuse between 2016 and 2020, during their on-again, off-again four-year relationship.

“On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly slammed my head against a wall, bruising my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent. For example, he beat my feet with a crop so they would hurt with every step I took for the next week. During those four hours I tried to get away, but he wouldn’t let me. ”

According to Effie, the claimed attack stopped when Hammer “left with no concern for my well-being. I was completely in shock.”

According to a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, “Armie Hammer is the named suspect in an alleged sexual assault investigation” that began on Feb. 3, 2021.

The charges were refuted by Hammer, 34. They were “outrageous” according to his lawyer, and Hammer “welcomes the opportunity to set the record straight.”

Hammer’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler of Lavely & Singer, supplied a screenshot of text message exchange between Hammer and Effie, in which Hammer texts, “I am not going to be able to engage in you in that specific way right now. It never ends well. We can talk and be friends, but I can’t do that.”

The screenshot was “just one of hundreds” supplied to Hammer by Effie, according to Hammer’s lawyer.

“Effie’s own correspondence with Mr. Hammer undermines and refutes her outrageous allegations. As recently as July 18, 2020, [she] sent graphic texts to Mr. Hammer telling him what she wanted him to do to her. Mr. Hammer responded making it clear that he did not want to maintain that type of relationship with her,” Brettler said in a statement.

“It was never Mr. Hammer’s intention to embarrass or expose [Effie’s] fetishes or kinky sexual desires, but she has now escalated this matter to another level by hiring a civil lawyer to host a public press conference. With the truth on his side, Mr. Hammer welcomes the opportunity to set the record straight,” the statement continues. “From day one, Mr. Hammer has maintained that all of his interactions with [Effie] — and every other sexual partner of his for that matter — have been completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory. [Effie’s] attention seeking and ill-advised legal bid will only make it more difficult for real victims of sexual violence to get the justice they deserve.”

Effie, who resides in Europe, met Hammer in 2016 on Facebook and fell in love with him, she said. She said she experienced severe flashbacks and felt suicidal after the alleged rape. She expressed regret for not speaking up sooner and expressed hope that Hammer would be “held accountable.”

The accusation follows months of claimed Hammer messages about his sexual desires being circulated online, as well as an ex-girlfriend, Paige Lorenze, speaking to Vanity Fair about their tumultuous relationship. “With him, you never know what you’re going to get – he’s a scary person,” Lorenze explained. “He would say things to me … weird stuff … like, ‘I want to eat your ribs.’”

Hammer’s lawyer responded to the initial report by saying, “All interactions between Mr Hammer and his former partners were consensual. They were fully discussed, agreed upon in advance with his partners, and mutually participatory. The stories perpetuated on social media were designed to be salacious in an effort to harm Mr Hammer, but that does not make them true.”

After ten years of marriage, Hammer and his ex-wife, Elizabeth, divorced in July 2020.

Hammer dropped out of a new project starring American actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, Shotgun Wedding, in January, citing “vicious and spurious online attacks against me”

The action comedy’s lead part for Hammer has been recast. He also dropped out of The Offer, a drama about the production of The Godfather.
