Archie’s Birth: Prince Harry’s Candid Account Reveals Memorable Details

In his revealing book, “Spare,” Prince Harry provides an intimate glimpse into various aspects of his life.

One particular recollection that stands out is the birth of his firstborn son, Archie.

It has long been known that the prince was personally present at the momentous occasion, which took place at the renowned private hospital, Portland, located in the heart of London.

Notably, this esteemed establishment has previously welcomed other notable women, including the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, and fashion icon Victoria Beckham, during their labor.

On the early morning of May 6th, the Duchess of Sussex went into labor, and at 5:26 am British time, Archie came into the world.

Throughout this significant period, Prince Harry remained by his wife’s side, providing unwavering support.

Meghan, determined to remain composed, sought solace in a bath while listening to uplifting hymns.

In an effort to create a serene atmosphere, Harry adorned the room with candles, contributing to a calming ambiance.

Meghan handled the experience with grace, whereas Harry had a slightly different approach.

In an attempt to empathize with his wife, Harry opted to use a cylinder of what he referred to as laughing gas, typically administered to alleviate pain during labor.

However, upon witnessing this, Meghan couldn’t help but chuckle and roll her eyes, as it turned out that the cylinder was empty when she required pain relief.

Perplexed, the nurse attending to Meghan couldn’t fathom where all the gas had disappeared to, leaving Harry with no choice but to apologize.

To ease his nerves, the prince sought comfort in some indulgent junk food, thoughtfully brought by the couple’s security guard.

Additionally, Meghan placed a photograph of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, on the table, believing it would bring about a smooth and uncomplicated birth for their heir.

Despite Meghan eventually requiring an epidural anesthesia, there were concerns regarding the possibility of the baby becoming entangled in the umbilical cord.

Fortunately, everything worked out well, and Archie entered the world unharmed, prompting tears of joy from his parents.
