The National Center for Transgender Equality accused Life and Style magazine of perpetuating gender stereotypes and targeting children for ridicule, while representatives from GLAAD issued a statement saying that such actions were unacceptable.

Angelina has been vocal in her support for Shiloh’s individuality and self-expression, telling Grazia magazine in 2010, “I have a very strong-willed four-year-old girl who tells me what she wants to wear and I let her be who she is.”

“I think it’s wrong for adults to expect kids to be a certain way and that they should instead let kids wear what they feel like wearing and allow them to express themselves.”

A source told the Evening Standard in 2012 that despite Jane’s well-known tendency to buy princess dresses and fairy costumes, Shiloh still prefers to dress like a boy.
