Amber Heard Calls Johnny Depp’s Children ‘Little Weirdos’ During Testimony

The defamation trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp has dominated social media, but things got even more confusing today when Heard spoke about the Pirates of the Caribbean actor’s children while on the stand.

The Aquaman actress testified in Virginia’s Fairfax County Courthouse on Thursday (May 5), where she was grilled about her relationship with the actor’s children.

Some of Johnny’s fans were offended by a fragmentary comment from Heard in which she referred to his two daughters, Lily-Rose Depp, 22, and Jack Depp, 20, as “little weirdos,” despite the fact that her whole statement appeared to be favorable.

“I found them [to be] these beautiful, wildly intelligent little weirdos in the best way. You know? They were … I was falling in love with them,” Amber testified while on the stand.

Amber Heard Claims Johnny Depp Threatened to ‘Kill’ Her

The Aquaman actress testified on Wednesday, recalling an incident in the Bahamas on July 9, 2013, in which the couple and his two children, Lily-Rose and Jack, were enjoying one last ride on his yacht, because Depp had sold the vessel to author J.K. Rowling.

She claims Johnny became violent during the trip.

Amber claimed Johnny had been drinking and was “upset he had to sell the boat.” He allegedly tried to hide his drinking from his children by pouring alcohol into coffee cups, according to her. She further stated that when Johnny began drinking, there was no “off button.”

Amber continued, claiming that when Johnny became clearly inebriated, Lily-Rose, then 14, became “panicked” and was upset by his actions.

Heard stated that while she and Depp’s daughter, Lily Rose, had not discussed Depp’s drinking, he accused her of doing so and became enraged.

Heard testified that the tipping point occurred when Depp half-jokingly hurled himself off the boat, in a “dead fish” or horrible belly flop kind of fashion. “It looked a little scary,” Heard remarked. “Not something somebody would do if they were completely okay.”

She went on to say that Lily-Rose began crying, and that her feelings grew into “almost like a panic attack,” and that Lily-Rose bombarded Heard with questions.

Amber stated, “I’m holding her and comforting her. Johnny comes in and within a few seconds I realize that he shifted his attention on me and then he seemed very angry. He asked Lily-Rose to leave. Lily-Rose leaves, looks at me crying. And Johnny starts accusing me of kind of telling on him and calling him a drunk in front of his kids.”

Amber went on to clarify that she was not “telling on him,” and that it was not her responsibility to inform his children about his drinking habits.

Amber alleged, “I was actually trying to protect Johnny.”

Then, according to Heard, Depp became violent.

She recalled, “He slams me up against the side wall — we were in the bedroom the whole time — up against the cabin wall and slams me up by my neck. And holds me there for a second and tells me he could f***ing kill me and that I was an embarrassment.”

Depp allegedly called her an embarrassment, which she said hurt her more than the purported threat. “I’m in love with this whole family now,” she explained, “and he’s saying I’m an embarrassment to him and that somehow stuck in me more than the ‘I can f***ing kill you.’ It just sounded like hyperbole, sounded like something he was just saying. But the names he was calling me and pushing me up against the wall by my neck. It hurt hurt. It hurt my feelings. It hurt.”

Depp has filed a libel suit against Heard, stating that she falsely depicted him as a domestic abuser, causing him to lose his lucrative acting career. The allegation stems from an op-ed Heard published for the Washington Post in 2018, in which she alluded to being abused but did not name Depp.
