Amanda Seyfried’s dress keeps breaking in awkward wardrobe fail

Amanda Seyfried’s appearance at the Critics Choice Awards was hampered by her dress not cooperating.

The actress was wearing a beautiful golden archival dress from a French fashion house and was styled by Elizabeth Stewart.

However, the metallic design had some issues when Seyfried hit the red carpet.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, Seyfried revealed that the dress was not holding up as she wanted it to.

“It’s ripping and actually breaking,” she stated. Despite the situation, the actress remained lighthearted about the issue and jokingly said, “I’m just going to take off my dress.”

She then modeled the floppy sleeve, saying, “Honestly it’s old, it’s beautiful!”

The design of the dress, from the label’s spring-summer 2020 collection, was made from a single piece of twisted, fringed gold lamé chiffon.

Despite the dress’s malfunctions, Seyfried was all smiles earlier in the night during the CW red carpet pre-show.

She stated that the dress made her feel like a winner and quipped, “It’s a statue dress so if I don’t get one, at least I look like one.”

Seyfried had much to be excited about at the event, as she won the award for best actress in a limited series or movie made for television for The Dropout.

She was dressed in a Dior dress, which she paired with Cartier jewelry, gold liquid metallic Stuart Weitzman heels, a bold red lip, and a chic relaxed ponytail.

However, when Seyfried went on stage later in the evening to accept the award for best limited series for the hit Hulu series, the wardrobe malfunction seemed to have taken its toll.

The star was seen wearing a black jacket and had let her hair down in loose waves, seemingly to cover up the broken gown.

This was not the first time that Seyfried received praise for her acting or faced a fashion emergency.

At the virtual 2021 Golden Globes, she wore a coral Dolce & Gabbana dress with flower-like ruffled sleeves, which was again styled by Stewart.

However, the designer piece got stuck in New Jersey for 36 hours before getting shipped off to Georgia, where Seyfried was tuning in from, causing a fashion fiasco.

Despite the challenges, Seyfried remained positive and focused on making the best of the situation.

She has a reputation for being a talented actress, and her sense of humor and grace under pressure make her a standout in both her personal and professional life.
