Alison Brie’s husband had to direct her s** scenes

Alison Brie, an actress known for her roles in “Mad Men” and “Community,” recently spoke about what it’s like to have her husband, Dave Franco, direct her s** scenes with Jay Ellis in their new movie, “Somebody I Used to Know.”

While the idea of seeing one’s partner intimate with another person might be uncomfortable for many couples, for Brie and Franco, it’s just another day at work.

Brie stated that as actors, it’s their job to perform such scenes, and with something as important as the movie they made together, their first priority is always the film.

The couple has worked together on multiple films, including “The Little Hours,” where Franco had make-out or s** scenes with Brie and three other actors.

Brie mentioned that it was like ripping off a band-aid; after that, they felt comfortable going through steamy scenes in front of each other.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month, Brie explained their “hands-on” approach to getting the best possible shot in a scene.

Brie paces the room, bouncing off walls while Franco is making notes at the computer and writing down every word she says.

They go back and forth like this until they feel they’ve got the scene right.

Brie said that she and Franco usually have some kind of conversation before taking on a project that requires a s** scene, just to give the other person a heads-up.

She added that it’s a part of their job, and although it might look strange to outsiders, they’re all professionals who signed up for this line of work.

Brie and Franco got engaged in August 2015 and secretly tied the knot in 2017.

In addition to “The Little Hours,” the couple has starred in “The Disaster Artist,” “The Rental,” and “Horse Girl” together.

Brie stated that they’ve worked together enough to feel comfortable performing steamy scenes in front of each other.

Brie explained that when on set, it’s strictly business.

The scene has to feel right and good, and they don’t want their romantic scenes with Jay Ellis to play awkwardly or strangely in any way.

Brie and Franco have worked together enough to know how to make it work.

Overall, Brie and Franco approach s** scenes professionally and prioritize the film above all else.

Their experience working together has enabled them to perform steamy scenes without it being weird.

To them, it’s just another day at work.
