Alison Brie was asked to take her top off during audition

During a panel at the ATX Television Festival in Austin on Sunday, actress Alison Brie disclosed that she was asked to take her shirt off during an audition for the popular TV series “Entourage.” She stated that the process of auditioning for women in Hollywood “has not changed that much,” according to E! News.

Brie went on to recount the details of the audition, saying, “I auditioned for three lines on an episode of ‘Entourage’ that I had to go on in a bikini!” She added that she was then asked to remove her top.

However, Brie clarified on Monday via Twitter that she was wearing a bikini top under her shirt and did not remove any clothing during the audition.

The actress also commented on the lack of roles available for women in the industry.

“I’ve gone through auditions for Marvel movies and auditioned a million times for roles with three lines and you are begging for them,” she said.

“And I’d be glad to get them! It’s brutal, it just is.”

Brie’s remarks were made during the promotion of her new series “GLOW,” which is set in the 1980s and follows a group of women in the world of professional wrestling.

This is not the first time that allegations of inappropriate conduct during Hollywood auditions have surfaced.

In 2017, actress Olivia Munn revealed that director Brett Ratner had masturbated in front of her on the set of “After the Sunset” in 2004.

Munn had also previously spoken out about being asked to audition in a bikini for the role of a news reporter in “The Daily Show.”

In 2018, SAG-AFTRA, the union representing actors and other industry professionals, issued new guidelines aimed at preventing s**ual harassment and misconduct during auditions and casting.
