Actor masturb@ted in front of female co-star
Actor Craig McLachlan sent videos of himself “pretending to masturbate while fully clothed” to a female co-star, according to testimony in the second week of his defamation trial.
McLachlan is suing former co-star Christie Whelan Browne, the ABC and Fairfax Media for defamation in the NSW Supreme Court.
The allegations against McLachlan first emerged in reports by Fairfax Media and the ABC in January 2018.
McLachlan has strongly denied the allegations.
Whelan Browne testified that McLachlan had sent her a video of himself “pretending to masturbate” while in a dressing room.

She said she was “absolutely shocked and disgusted” by the video.
The actress also alleged that McLachlan had touched her inappropriately during a performance of the 2014 stage show The Rocky Horror Show.
McLachlan has denied this allegation as well.
The trial has heard that McLachlan allegedly made lewd comments and behaved inappropriately towards female cast members during the production.
Whelan Browne said that McLachlan had made “s**ual comments” to her, and had touched her in a way that made her feel uncomfortable.
She also said that she had witnessed McLachlan make “s**ual comments” to other female cast members.
Whelan Browne said that she had felt “intimidated” and “scared” by McLachlan’s behaviour.
She said that she had felt “trapped” and “unable to escape” from him.
Whelan Browne said that she had reported McLachlan’s behaviour to the show’s production company, but that nothing had been done about it.
McLachlan’s legal team has argued that the allegations against him are part of a “smear campaign” designed to damage his career.
The actor has also argued that he has suffered “significant financial and reputational damage” as a result of the allegations.
McLachlan’s lawyers have suggested that the allegations against him are part of a wider “Me Too” campaign, which they say has unfairly targeted men in the entertainment industry.
Whelan Browne has rejected these claims, saying that she was speaking out because she wanted to “protect other women” in the industry.
She also said that she had been “devastated” by the experience.
Whelan Browne said that she had been “bullied and harassed” by McLachlan, and that she had felt “alone” and “isolated” as a result.
The trial has heard evidence from several other women who have accused McLachlan of inappropriate behaviour.
One of these women, Angela Scundi, said that McLachlan had kissed her without her consent during a rehearsal for The Rocky Horror Show.
Another woman, Erika Heynatz, said that McLachlan had made inappropriate comments to her during a performance of the show.
McLachlan has denied all of the allegations against him.
He has said that he is the victim of a “smear campaign” and that he has suffered “significant financial and reputational damage” as a result of the allegations.
The trial is expected to continue for several more weeks.
