Actor arrested for s-x abuse in Nevada

Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse, a former actor who appeared in the movie “Dances With Wolves” was arrested on Tuesday by Las Vegas police.

The arrest followed a raid on his North Las Vegas home where SWAT officers were seen.

According to police records obtained by the Associated Press, Chasing Horse has been accused of s**ually assaulting young Indigenous girls for over two decades.

The arrest came after a tipoff was received by police in October 2022.

At least six alleged victims have been identified and s**ual allegations against Chasing Horse have been uncovered in multiple states, including Montana, South Dakota and Nevada.

Chasing Horse is known for his role as the young Sioux tribe member Smiles a Lot in the Oscar-winning Kevin Costner film.

He gained a reputation among tribes across the United States as a so-called medicine man who performed healing ceremonies and spiritual gatherings.

Police allege that he used his position to abuse young Native American girls.

The arrest is the culmination of a months-long investigation.

State attorneys general and lawmakers across the United States are looking into creating specialized units to handle cases involving Native women.

In South Dakota, the attorney general’s office has put a new focus on crimes against Native American people, including human trafficking and murders.

Chasing Horse was born on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, which is home to the Sicangu Sioux, one of the seven tribes of the Lakota nation.

According to the 50-page search warrant obtained by AP, Chasing Horse is accused of s** trafficking, s**ual assault of a child younger than 16, and child abuse in Clark County, Nevada.

Some of the alleged victims were as young as 13, the warrant alleges.

The police records show that Chasing Horse is accused of recording s**ual assaults and arranging s** with the victims for other men who allegedly paid him.

The warrant includes details of alleged crimes reported elsewhere, but the arrest stems from crimes allegedly committed in Nevada’s Clark County.

As of Tuesday evening, there was no lawyer listed in court records for Chasing Horse who could comment on his behalf.

The arrest has shocked many people, especially those in the Native American community, where Chasing Horse had been respected as a spiritual leader.

The allegations against him have raised awareness of the vulnerability of young Native American girls to s**ual abuse.

The arrest of Chasing Horse comes at a time when there is a growing concern about the safety of Indigenous women and children.

In the United States, Native American women are at a higher risk of s**ual violence than any other group.

According to a report by the National Institute of Justice, more than one in three Native American women will be raped in their lifetime.

The arrest of Chasing Horse has sent shockwaves through the Native American community, which is still reeling from the impact of historical trauma and abuse.

The allegations against him are a stark reminder of the need to address the underlying issues that contribute to the vulnerability of Indigenous women and children.

It is hoped that the arrest will lead to a greater awareness of the problem and a concerted effort to address it.
