Courtney Stodden is speaking out about her #MeToo experience.

The 23-year-old Celebrity Big Brother star confessed she was sexually assaulted twice while separated from her husband Doug Hutchison and hasn’t ‘talked about it yet’ for a variety of reasons, including a potential book contract, during an interview on Monday’s Tomorrow Show with Keven Undergaro.

Stodden, then 16, and Hutchison, then 51, married in 2011, separated temporarily in 2013 before reconnecting nine months later. Stodden formally filed for divorce last week after the couple called it quits in 2016.

Stodden was asked whether she had any personal #MeToo experiences connected to power and sex when addressing the movement with Undergaro.

“Was it power, was it sex?” Undergaro asked her.

According to the Celebrity Big Brother star, ‘both power and sex’ were factors in her assaults.

Stodden didn’t go into much more detail, stating that she was working on a book, but she did provide some hints as to what had occurred to her.

‘It’s just like all the other women’s stories. It’s nothing different,’ she explained. ‘Each woman should be heard and I’m definitely planning on … I’ll definitely be a part of the movement, for sure.’

Stodden intimated that she would sue her assailant, saying she’s thinking about “lawsuits” now that she’s realized what happened to her constituted abuse.

‘When the first incident happened, I, you know, didn’t tell [Doug],’ Courtney revealed, ‘It was actually during the first time we separated. It actually happened to me two times when we were separated.’

“And um, you know, I didn’t tell him, you know it happened. You know? And at that age, ya know, I was only 19, you know, when my first experience happened. I didn’t really think it was wrong, which is the crazy part.”

“I felt like, ‘OK, well that’s how sex is,'” she added. “You know, I only had sex with one man before that; that was, you know, Doug. So gentle, not to get explicit. But I was like, ‘OK, maybe that’s just a rough way of going on a date.’ I really didn’t realize it was, you know, sexual abuse, until I started hearing these women talking. It wasn’t until #MeToo started that I was like, ‘Wow, maybe that wasn’t OK.'”

“It’s a really sad thing,” she remarked, “but it happens all the time. But I am definitely happy that anybody who is a victim of #MeToo is getting heard.”

Stodden endured another tragedy during the last year of their marriage when she miscarried while pregnant with her first child.

In a statement to PEOPLE in July 2016, Stodden’s manager Gina Rodriguez wrote, “It is with a heavy heart to inform you that Courtney Stodden suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage last week. Courtney and her husband, Doug, are at an emotional loss for words and are using this time to grieve with their close family and friends. Please respect their privacy as the couple try to cope with losing their precious baby and seek the support they both need.”

After six years of marriage, Stodden has filed for divorce from Hutchison.
