Paris Jackson refuses to defend Dad Michael Jackson over sexual abuse claims

Paris Jackson has made it plain that she will not speak on the explosive HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, in which her late father Michael Jackson is accused of sexually assaulting two minor boys.

Michael Jackson’s daughter addressed why she has yet to react on the contentious HBO documentary in a tweet to a fan on Thursday.

“there’s nothing i can say that hasn’t already been said in regards to defense. taj is doing a perfect job on his own,” she said on Twitter. “and i support him.”

She went on to explain why she believes it is not her obligation to defend the pop artist. “But that’s not my role,” she tweeted. “I’m just tryna get everyone to chill out and go with the flow, be mellow and think about the bigger picture. That’s me.”

Jackson began the discussion to defend herself and disprove a Radar Online report that said she was losing her mind. A fan expressed her desire to discuss the documentary in which Wade Robson and James Safechuck describe their experiences on the ranch.

“I have the same moral compass as my father, but not the patience,” Paris said to a fan who asked if she’d sacrifice her money for escape from the prying eyes of the press. “I’ll fight for love n peace in the same way, but i am more aggressively driven. i don’t sit by idly when i see injustices happen, especially when they’re directed towards me or my family. fuck that noise.”

Paris has struck back at her critics, dismissing claims that she is addicted to narcotics.

She wrote: “i smoke weed on my story ONE time and all of a sudden i’m a junkie meth alcoholic party raver that’s also secretly married and pregnant and may or may not have a penis. i have a job. and dogs. and a bedtime. go f**k yourself”

Interviews with Jackson accusers James Safechuck and Wade Robson were featured in the HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, which aired on March 3 and 4. The two — now married adults with their own sons — allege they had sexual interactions with Jackson while they were both minors, at the ages of 10 and 7. They describe how they first met the music legend and how they became closer to the pop sensation in on-camera interviews.

The estate of the late pop artist, as well as other family members, have flatly disputed the allegations made.

Many others, however, have been influenced by their testimony. Jackson’s songs have been blacklisted on radio stations in Australia and Canada, and an episode of The Simpsons in which the star made a cameo has been shelved.

Paris alluded to Leaving Neverland in a series of tweets days after the film’s broadcast debut, in reaction to claims that she was concerned about how the film and allegations against her father might effect her career. She seemed to allude to the documentary as “tabloids and lies,” though she did not specifically mention it.

“I actually haven’t made any statements yet, especially regarding how it affects my work life. you guys are reaching a bit. at least this wasn’t a disgusting and attacking article though,” Paris remarked.

“Ya’ll take my life more seriously than I do,” she followed up with a tweet.

“Smoke some weed n think about the bigger picture,” Paris advised her fans, adding, “I know injustices are frustrating and it’s easy to get worked up. But reacting with a calm mind usually is more logical than acting out of rage and also…. It feels better to mellow out.”
