Will Ferrell Explains Why He Was Drunk During N@ked Streaking Scene in ‘Old School’

During a recent interview in which he nibbled on hot wings throughout, Will Ferrell had a lot to say about several of his famous movie roles. During his visit to Hot Ones, the comic, who got his start on Saturday Night Live, debunked myths about whether he actually required liquid courage to strip nude in front of Snoop Dogg in 2003’s Old School.

“Hot Ones,” hosted by Sean Evans, puts celebrities under pressure to answer fans’ pressing concerns while eating progressively spicy chicken wings.

Because Snoop Dogg, who had a cameo in the 2003 comedy, was late for his shoot, the comedian began drinking on set as he prepared to film a scene in which his character had too much to drink at a party and goes streaking in public.

“No, I actually didn’t,” Ferrell said while sipping milk, “but in between takes, it took so long to get Snoop Dogg out his his trailer, as he was smoking and playing video games, that out if boredom I just started drinking.”

Ferrell also revealed the odd initial premise for his successful comedy “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,” stating that it originally included the news team at the center of the comedy surviving an aircraft crash while being pursued by apes.

He explained, “It was going to be a movie about newsmen meets Alive, where they have to survive in the mountains. And it was all about trying to survive and get down the mountain while being stalked by chimpanzees with Chinese throwing stars. Needless to say, Hollywood said no.”

Ferrell also said that the prosthetic testicles he saved from the film Step Brothers are his most valued item from all of his films.

When asked if the testicles are among his top five favorites, Ferrell answers, “Definitely top one, top two. I keep ’em in a little trophy case. Like, you know, proper like you’d see sports memorabilia. Like, you’d put a signed baseball in like a plastic [case].”
