Shia LaBeouf’s sex scene removed from YouTube

A raunchy video starring Shia LaBeouf from Lars von Trier’s latest film Nymphomaniac has been pulled from YouTube due to excessive nudity.

The 27-year-old Transformers actor thrusts into actress Stacy Martin in the footage, which has subsequently been restored to the site (although with an age restriction). The screen is divided into three panels, each with its own image.

The 57-second clip appears to be from Nymphomaniac’s fifth “appetizer” Little Organ School, and is the fifth such “chapter” to be uploaded on the film’s official Youtube page. (The Compleat Angler, Jerôme, Mrs. H, and Delirium were the previous chapter titles.)

Although the video contained real intercourse, producer Louise Vesth disclosed earlier this year that body doubles were used to replace the performers.

‘We shot the actors pretending to have sex and then had the body doubles, who really did have sex, and in post we will digitally impose the two,’ she told The Hollywood Reporter.

‘So above the waist it will be the star and below the waist it will be the doubles.’

The terms of service for YouTube, which is owned by Google, state: “YouTube is not for pornography or sexually explicit content.

“It’s not all about nudity and sex, but most nudity is not allowed, particularly if it is in a sexual context. Generally if a video is intended to be sexually provocative, it is less likely to be acceptable for YouTube.

“There are exceptions for some educational, documentary, scientific, and artistic content, but only if that is the sole purpose of the video and it is not gratuitously graphic.”

The teaser was removed off the site after censors determined it was an official clip from the forthcoming Lars Von Trier film, according to a spokeswoman for the video-sharing service.

According to the representative, “With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call. When it’s brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it.”

More than 280,000 people have seen the video.

LaBeouf is unconcerned about the clip’s publication since he handed the filmmaker a sex tape to earn his part in the film.

“I sent him videotapes of me and my girlfriend having sex and that’s how I got the job,” the actor recently revealed Chelsea Handler on her talk program.

The controversial film also stars Charlotte Gainsbourg and Stellan Skaarsgard.

Nymphomaniac will debut on December 25 in Von Trier’s home Denmark, with a UK release date to be confirmed later.
