Shia LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley Get Naked In Short-Film Music Video

The latest collaboration from Shia LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley is intended for adults only.

The two actors appear in the music video for Rainsford’s song “Love Me Like You Hate Me” which was written by the sister of the Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood actress, Rainey Qualley.

The roughly 10-minute uncensored video shows the actor, 34, and the actress, 26, romping and kissing passionately in bed, naked. JA Collective choreographed the video, which features two separate panels that represent the interaction from various perspectives at the same time.

LaBeouf and Margaret remove their clothes once more at the end of the film, when she joins him in the shower as the music fades away.

According to Consequence of Sound, “The 10-minute split-screen film portrays the tenderness and toxicity of a relationship, presented from the dual, and at times conflicting, perspectives of a couple. With a gently disorientating structure, the piece builds towards an open-ended resolution that loops back on itself, returning us to where we began.”

Rainsford shared stills from the film on Instagram this week, writing, “We made a short choreographed film to represent ‘Love Me Like You Hate Me’ starring my sister @MargaretQualley and Shia LaBeouf… Please watch it. It’s filled with love and pain and tenderness and rage and real pieces of my heart.”

Andie MacDowell, the mother of the Qualley girls, said, “Incredibly beautiful congratulations everyone involved. Stunning.”

The star of Four Weddings and a Funeral responded a second time, in classic mom way. “This time it made me cry. So so Beautiful,” she remarked. “I’m smiling and crying at the same time and I’ll probably watch it in about oh I don’t know I’m sure I’m gonna watch it at least 100 times.”

Margaret Qualley has worked as a choreographer for two music videos for Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat, as well as being a part of Olivia Wilde’s short film “Wake Up,” which featured a lot of music and allowed Qualley to leverage her skills as a dancer.

This isn’t LaBeouf’s first journey into the world of music video performance art. In 2015, he co-starred in a video for Sia’s pop song “Elastic Heart” with then-12-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler. Inside a big metal cage, LaBeouf and Ziegler wore naked leotards and circled each other.

LaBeouf has quietly switched his concentration to performance art in recent years with his group LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner, since striking out in Hollywood on the Disney Channel comedy Even Stevens in 2000. In 2014, he made headlines when he arrived at the Berlin International Film Festival with a paper bag over his head with the words “I Am Not Famous Anymore” scrawled on it.

Margaret Qualley, who portrayed Pussycat in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, will act opposite her mother as Alex in the Netflix series Maid, which will premiere in 2021. Stephanie Land’s bestseller book, Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive, inspired the series.
