Miley Cyrus says she regrets Wrecking Ball video
Miley Cyrus wishes she hadn’t come in like a wrecking ball.
The 24-year-old appeared on the Zach Sang Show, where she was asked to rank some of her biggest tracks from 2013 to 2017.
The singer took part in a game in which she had to select between three of her songs, “7 Things,” “The Climb,” and “Wrecking Ball.” Although selecting between such deeply personal projects could have given other celebrities hesitation, Miley had little time to contemplate her options and jumped in with confidence. Without skipping a beat, she announced that “Wrecking Ball” would be dropped from the lineup.
“Swinging around naked on a wrecking ball lives forever,” she laughed. “I am never living that down.
“I will always be the naked girl on a wrecking ball, no matter how much I frolic with Emu [her dog] I am always the naked girl on the wrecking ball,” she says.

She added: “I should have thought of how long that was going to follow me around. It’s my worst nightmare, that song being played at my funeral – that is my worst nightmare.” The footage saw the singer stripped down to only a pair of Doctor Marten boots, while swinging on a large wrecking ball. Upon its release, the controversial music video received over 19million views in the first 24 hours.
Harry Styles recently commended Cyrus for how she handled concerns about her sexuality.
In an interview with The Sun, the former One Direction member stated that he does not “feel like it’s something I’ve ever had to explain about myself.”
“Being in a creative field, it’s important to be progressive. People doing stuff like [Miley Cyrus] is great,” he continued.
“It’s weird for me — everyone should just be who they want to be. It’s tough to justify somebody having to answer to someone else about stuff like that.”
Miley released her latest music video, Malibu, last week, and it clearly portrays a gentler side to her. The pop sensation recently stated that her new album is inspired by her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, who she renewed her affair with in 2015. Miley can be seen frolicking on the beach in a variety of white lacy ensembles, happily flashing off her engagement ring. When asked about her spectacular comeback to the music world with Malibu, Miley admitted that Liam is the biggest ‘influence’ in her new approach. “I definitely would be lying if I said that wasn’t the influence or why I’m here… Because it’s like, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you,” she stated on Australian radio station The Kyle & Jackie O Show.
