Prince Harry Faces Backlash as Key Staff Member Departs

Prince Harry, who has been at the center of controversy in the UK following his explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, has suffered another setback.

Heather Wong, his Assistant Private Secretary since 2016, has chosen to move on from her role within the Royal Household.

Wong had been working closely with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during their time at Kensington Palace, often accompanying them on official engagements and assisting Meghan with various tasks.

One of the few aides retained by the couple after their decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family last year, Wong took on the role of Executive Director of Travelist, a sustainable tourism initiative launched by Prince Harry in September 2019.

Official records from the UK Registry Company’s house confirm that her company appointment was terminated on February 28.

The reasons behind her departure remain unknown, but her LinkedIn profile reveals that she has already secured a new job as Chief of Staff at Atomico, a private equity firm.

Prior to joining the Royal Household in September 2016, Wong held positions within Barack Obama’s administration.

She served as Acting Assistant Secretary and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs at the US Department of Homeland Security during Obama’s first term as President.

The fallout from Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey continues to reverberate throughout the UK.

In the tell-all conversation, the Duke of Sussex made damning comments about the Royal Family, causing a significant backlash.
