The highly publicized defamation case between actors Amber Heard and Johnny Depp has been making headlines as the former couple continues a legal battle that delves into their tumultuous past.

However, Heard clarified that her relationship with Franco was nothing more than a pure friendship.

The Aquaman star revealed that she was very much in need of a friend’s support at that tough time, and that Depp harbored a deep dislike for Franco, accusing her of past involvement with him due to their shared work on the film, Pineapple Express.

Heard went on to detail Depp’s extreme jealousy and insecurity when it came to her on-screen romantic scenes with other actors.

She disclosed that Depp would become irate if she failed to inform him explicitly about these scenes, accusing her of hiding information from him.

“I had spoken to Johnny — I’m in Boston, he’s in New York.

He had already been upset at me and accused me in many arguments about not telling him about scenes I had,” she said.

Heard added that Depp’s reaction was explosive and he reacted as if she had betrayed him, expressing disbelief and severe anger.

“I didn’t want the fight, of course, but I had to kind of eggshell, tip-toe around how to tell him when I had any sort of scene like that, and I did tell him in this occasion.

He was upset with me, but he didn’t sound coherent on the phone.

He was yelling at me, ‘How could you!

How could you tell me this when I’m filming this scene when I am working.’ I told him as soon as it was relevant, but he said, ‘How could you just tell me this.’ It was like I told him I was having an affair.

He started to sound less connected to reality as these arguments would happen on the phone.”
