Amber Heard has finally returned to the big screen a year after her infamous defamation trial against Johnny Depp, which had been the talk of the town for a long time.

Though the 60-year-old actor won the case, the Aquaman actress was left with merciless trolls grilling her on social media, leading her to move to Spain with her daughter to avoid all the negative chaos.

Her first movie after the trial, In The Fire, premiered at the Taormina Film Festival on 24th June 2023.

Conor Allyn, the director of In The Fire, shared his experience of working with Amber Heard and described the 37-year-old actress as a great person.

He praised her for not changing despite going through something awful.

Allyn, who was seated for an interview with another lead actor from the movie, Luca Calvani, further added that Heard is a star who glows and pulls everyone in with her light.

According to him, the Never Back Down actress is also very generous and encouraging.

At the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, he got a 7-minute standing ovation.

It is apparent that Heard and Depp have both moved on and are focusing on their acting careers.

Allyn’s praise for Heard may have come as a surprise to some people, given the controversy surrounding her personal life.
