“It was an accident”: John Wick 4 Star Committed Scary Mistake of Breaking Mike Tyson’s Finger

Donnie Yen, an actor and action director famous for performing his own martial arts stunts in movies, recalled a scary moment on the set of Ip Man 3 when he accidentally broke Mike Tyson’s finger.

Yen, who was playing the character Ip Man, had to block Tyson’s punches while maintaining the essence of his character.

In one scene, Tyson was coming at Yen with “flurry punches” while he applied the Wing Chun style martial art technique.

Although the scene went well, the next day at a press conference, journalists speculated that Yen might get hurt and asked about his experience working with Tyson.

Tyson showed his fractured finger and said, “All of you were worried that Donnie will get injured.

Nobody cared about me.

Now I am injured, still, nobody came to console me.”

Yen soon realized his mistake and apologized, saying, “I knew that I bumped into him, but I didn’t know it was that serious.

He was very professional about it and we even continued filming.

It was only later at the hospital that he was told that his finger had fractured.

I am truly sorry!” The movie was successful, but it is unlikely that the actors will forget the incident.

Yen has performed his own stunts in many movies, including John Wick Chapter 4, where he played Caine, a blind assassin obligated to chase his former friend, John Wick.

According to Yen, doing their own stunts is pretty common in the Hong Kong industry, as there is often no pre-training or preparation.

Yen and other actors improvise choreography on the set, as he did with Jackie Chan in a previous movie.

They would look at the set and say, “Oh, what can we do?

Jump off this building, kick this door down?

And then you know, I punch you and you block and all right let’s shoot just like that.”

Yen is known for playing some brilliant roles in Hollywood and has had some wild rides in his career.

He collaborated with Tyson in Ip Man 3, the last movie of the widely popular Ip Man franchise.

Yen said that appearing in Hollywood movies was a dream come true for him, as he grew up watching Bruce Lee’s movies and wanted to be like him.

Yen is a global action star who rose to fame after appearing in Hong Kong martial arts films in the 1990s.

He has appeared in over 70 films and won numerous awards for his acting and stunts.

Yen has also been listed as one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.

Yen has a few more projects in the pipeline, including a new movie in the Ip Man franchise where he will play the character again.

The actor is excited about the upcoming project and promised fans that it would be “the best Ip Man movie ever.” Yen has also expressed his interest in working with other famous actors like Dwayne Johnson, Tom Cruise, and Robert Downey Jr.

Although Yen has faced some challenges in his career, including breaking Mike Tyson’s finger, he remains one of the most respected actors in the industry.

Yen’s dedication to his craft and his ability to perform his own stunts have earned him a place among the greats of Hollywood.

His fans eagerly await his upcoming projects and can’t wait to see what he has in store for them.
