In particular, she addressed the ongoing harassment that musician John Mayer has faced from her fans over the years.

Swift expressed her disappointment and urged her followers to stop the abusive behavior.

During an Instagram Live session, Swift answered a fan’s question about her relationship with Mayer by first acknowledging that it was in the past and that she had since moved on.

However, she then went on to denounce the negative comments and messages that her fans have been sending Mayer for years, saying that “no one deserves that.”

Swift stated that while it is natural for fans to have strong opinions about the people their favorite artists date or collaborate with, it is never okay to attack someone online.

She emphasized that behind every celebrity is a human being who has feelings and can be hurt by such behavior.
