Perth actor caught with child abuse images had ‘unnatural connections’ with a dog
A 20-year-old aspiring actor, Ewan Cole, has admitted to having an “unnatural connection” with a dog and possessing indecent images and videos of children.
Perth Sheriff Court was told that police recovered the obscene and extreme photos and video clips from an iPhone belonging to Cole.
One of the videos appeared to show Cole s**ually engaging with a German Shepherd at his then home in Manse Crescent, Stanley, in December 2019.
Cole was placed on the s** offenders’ register and instructed to stay away from dogs and children under the age of 16.
In addition to his “unnatural connection” with the animal, Cole pleaded guilty to having indecent photos of children between December 12, 2019, and March 3, 2020, and being in possession of “extreme pornographic images” that featured a man performing s**ual acts with a dog.

Cole’s solicitor, Steve Lafferty, explained that his client had consulted with his doctor and realised he had a problem.
Cole believes that he may have some kind of psychiatric disorder.
Cole was released on bail after Sheriff William Wood ascertained that there were no animals at his current place of residence on St Andrew Street, Perth.
The court heard that police received confidential information indicating that indecent images of children may be held on devices at a property in Manse Terrace.
Police conducted a search warrant at the address on March 11, 2020, and recovered an iPhone belonging to Cole, which was subsequently subjected to full forensic analysis.
Four inaccessible extreme pornographic videos were recovered from the phone, including one featuring Cole.
Ten still images were also found, including three at Category A (the most obscene), alongside 13 inaccessible videos, five of which were at Category A.
None of these were accessible to the user in their current state.
The videos depicted male and female children between the ages of one and 13, participating in s**ual activity with adults.
The total running time of all videos was approximately 13 minutes.
Sentence for Cole was deferred until September 6, and background reports were requested.
The court expressed its concern about the nature of the charges brought against Cole.
