50 Cent brutally responds to son after he offered $6,700 to spend a day of his time with him
Rapper 50 Cent has responded to his son, Marquise Jackson, after he took to Instagram earlier this week and offered his father $6,700 to spend a day with him.
The post followed an Instagram Live conversation between Jackson and musical artist Choke No Joke, during which Jackson accused 50 Cent of not having paid enough child support to his mother for them to live comfortably.
In the post, Jackson posed alongside layers of banknotes spelling out the word “entitled”.
In response, 50 Cent posted a clip from crime drama television series, Power, in which Kanan Stark (played by the rapper) dismisses his son, Shawn, before ultimately shooting him in cold blood.
Jackson’s post came after an Instagram Live conversation with Choke No Joke in which he criticised his father for not paying enough child support.

“You’re talking about a Forbes lister – you’re talking about someone that has problems with everybody – you can’t just live in any neighbourhood, $81k is not a substantial amount of money.
You can’t just live anywhere,” Jackson said.
He offered his father the sum of $6,700 to spend a day with him, saying he wanted to do “everything [Jackson] ever wanted to do with him as a kid”.
In response, 50 Cent posted a clip from his show, Power, on Instagram.
The scene shows Kanan Stark with his son, Shawn, who says he wants to make his father proud.
Kanan dismisses him as having “failed [him] again”, and ultimately shoots him in cold blood.
It is unclear what message 50 Cent was trying to convey with the post.
This is not the first time that 50 Cent has had a public falling out with his eldest son.
In 2020, he discussed their relationship in an Instagram Live, saying: “I didn’t think that success would cost me my first-born, but it’s the situation it is… What he keeps saying is, every time you see the boy he show up with somebody you got a problem with.
What does that tell you?”
The rapper has also been open about his complicated relationship with his own father, who left when he was just eight years old.
In an interview with The Guardian in 2015, he said: “I don’t have a good day if I haven’t talked to him [his son]… I’d rather have that relationship than be rich and famous.”
Child support is a contentious issue in the United States, with some arguing that the system needs reforming to ensure that children receive adequate financial support from both parents.
According to data from the US Census Bureau, around one in six custodial parents do not receive any child support.
Fathers are also less likely to pay child support than mothers, with around 26% of custodial mothers receiving no money compared to 31% of custodial fathers.
Despite the public falling out between 50 Cent and his son, the rapper has continued to enjoy success in his career.
He is currently executive producing the upcoming Starz series, Black Mafia Family, which tells the story of two brothers who rise through the ranks of the Detroit drug trade.
The show is set to debut on 26 September.
