Emma Thompson on going full-frontal n^ked in her new movie about repressed widow’s s**ual awakening

Good Luck To You, Leo Grande, a new British film starring Emma Thompson, is set to raise eyebrows and start conversations with its daring subject matter.

The movie follows the story of Nancy Stokes, a 55-year-old widow who has never had an orgasm.

After the death of her husband, Nancy decides to hire a young s** worker, played by Daryl McCormack, to initiate her into the joys of s**.

Emma Thompson plays the lead role of Nancy, a woman who has always put others first.

She explains that the character is a “searcher” who has led a very restricted life, ticking all the boxes to pass as someone who can be acceptable.

Nancy is a faithful wife, devoted mother, and dedicated RE teacher who has never had an orgasm, which Emma explains is not unusual even in modern life.

The film explores the rare subject that a widow may still have a s**ual appetite and is prepared to go to extreme lengths to satisfy it.

Emma says that this flight of boldness on Nancy’s part was one of the things that attracted her to the role.

The film was written by comedian Katy Brand, who sent the script to Emma with her in mind.

Emma immediately loved the script and encouraged Katy to make the movie.

Good Luck To You, Leo Grande wouldn’t have been possible without Daryl McCormack’s chemistry with Emma, who plays the s** worker Leo Grande facing demons of his own.

One of the most shocking aspects of the film is that Emma Thompson, known for buttoned-up performances in films like Sense And Sensibility and The Remains Of The Day, appears in a no-holds-barred s** scene and does full-frontal nudity.

Emma says it was very challenging to be n^de at 62, especially in a world where nothing has changed in the dreadful demands made on women to look a certain way.

To counter their embarrassment, director Sophie Hyde set about making both actors as comfortable as possible with being n^de from the very beginning of the rehearsals.

Emma says that for nearly all of their first day of rehearsals, Sophie, Daryl, and herself rehearsed entirely nude, discussing their bodies, their relationship with them, the things they like about them, and the things they find difficult about them.

The film explores the idea that women might have appetites of any kind, which is not always regarded as acceptable.

The movie is a courageous step towards breaking out of something, and Emma found the role irresistible because of this.

She believes that Nancy’s choice to unleash herself and change her life is contrary to everything she’s been brought up with.

Emma Thompson has no wish list of future roles, but she would like to direct a film someday.

She was inspired by Maggie Gyllenhaal, who just directed The Lost Daughter and told Emma that she had never felt so alive.

Emma immediately felt envious and thought she must write a film and direct it right now to feel that way too.
