Meghan Markle’s Popularity Reaches an All-Time Low in the UK
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has faced yet another setback as new polls show that she is more unpopular among Britons than ever before.
According to a recent survey conducted by YouGov in the UK, Meghan’s net positivity rating currently stands at minus 47%, down six points from data compiled in April.
Out of the 2014 UK adults surveyed, only 24% said they had a positive view of Meghan, with 65% viewing her negatively, and 11% saying they didn’t know.
What’s noteworthy is that the majority of young people aged 17 to 24 participated in this vote.
Sources reveal that Meghan has been keen on launching several projects aimed at bringing value to the Gen Z class worldwide since last year.

However, the plan has not been implemented due to a lack of funding and development direction.
In contrast, Kate Middleton’s positivity rate has steadily increased over time, with a total number of 57, the exact opposite of Meghan’s.
Kate’s support rate among teenagers aged 15 to 20 and 21 to 26 also increased significantly by around 40%.
One reason for this could be Kate’s Y2K style, which has recently made a comeback among Gen Z users.
Kate Middleton was a pioneer of Y2K style back in the day, and her fashion choices have been highly praised by many.
Even vintage reselling sites such as Da Pop and Vinted have curated Kate Middleton drops to cater for the Y2K Kate craze, featuring posh country riding boots, corduroy trench coats, and chunky belts.
While she may not be as famous as pop culture icons such as Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, or Beyonce, Kate quietly reigned supreme with her pre-royal style.
With the Crown’s sixth season currently shooting, which will chronicle Kate and William’s university romance and seemingly their style evolution, and Y2K continuing their sartorial power in 2023, we’ve rounded up some of Kate’s most lush Y2K moments.
She may now be the Princess of Wales, but in her early twenties, Kate was undeniably the Queen of Y2K.
Despite being a royal for more than a decade, Kate Middleton’s popularity and positive feedback have not diminished.
Her beauty and style are known as luxurious, elegant, and achieving aesthetic standards over time.
That’s why even though she’s no longer in her twenties, the princess still receives acclaim from many different ages.
On the contrary, Meghan Markle’s lowest net positivity rating of minus 47% is her worst since YouGov began polling on the Duchess in 2017, after her engagement to Prince Harry.
Her lowest previous score was registered at minus 46% in January, following the release of Harry’s memoir Spare.
YouGov’s June data shows that Harry too is seen as less popular among his compatriots, registering a net positivity rating of minus 36%, down from minus 34 in April.
After the dust settled on Spare’s January publication, in which Harry made a number of bombshell revelations about members of the royal family, Meghan’s positivity score began to look like it had taken a turn for the better.
However, this new result follows another difficult period in the timeline of Harry and Meghan’s post-royal life.
In conclusion, while Kate Middleton’s popularity continues to soar, Meghan Markle’s public image has taken another hit.
The polls show that Meghan’s popularity among Britons is at an all-time low, and it remains to be seen how she will bounce back from this setback.
