Megan Markle Criticizes Andy Cohen’s Real Housewives Franchise in Podcast Interview

In a recent podcast episode, Bravo’s Andy Cohen revealed some uncomfortable moments during his interview with Megan Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex appeared on Cohen’s podcast last year and criticized his Real Housewives franchise for perpetuating negative gender stereotypes.

In his autobiography, The Daddy Diaries, Cohen wrote about the incident, stating that Megan’s criticism caught him off guard.

She played a clip from an argument about cheating on the Real Housewives of New Jersey and groaned in her narration, saying, “Oh my gosh, oh man, this is a tough one for me.”

Megan went on to explain that she wanted to hear Cohen’s perspective on the show’s feminist themes.

She expressed concern that the show perpetuated negative stereotypes about women and their personalities, which could be harmful in the long run.

However, Cohen noted that Megan did not voice her concerns directly to him during their interview.

This prevented him from having a chance to respond to her criticisms.

He also arrived at the interview prepared to defend the program against similar criticisms.

During the podcast, Megan also accused Cohen of not putting her on his show back in the day and not remembering her.

She claimed to have met him twice, once before Suits started and around the time of about season 2 or 3.

This revelation may have been a blow to her ego, as Cohen did not remember meeting her.

When the podcast episode finally aired, Cohen seemed surprised to hear Megan’s criticisms.

However, he did admit that she was lovely in person.

Despite the awkwardness, Cohen maintained a professional demeanor and continued with the interview.

Megan’s criticism of the Real Housewives franchise is not the first time the show has come under fire for perpetuating negative gender stereotypes.

Some viewers have criticized the program for portraying women as catty and materialistic, which could be harmful to young girls who watch the show.

Cohen has defended the program in the past, arguing that it portrays women as complex and multi-dimensional.

He has also pointed out that the show features a diverse cast of women from different backgrounds and walks of life.

Despite their differences of opinion, Cohen and Megan appeared to have a cordial relationship during the interview.
